Fat filament clogs the AMS unit

preview_player
Показать описание
3D printer filament should be 1.75±0.05mm diameter. The Bambu Lab 3D printer and the AMS can work up to around 2mm diameter, but sometimes the filament is so out of spec that there's no way it'll fit through, not to mention the bad print quality caused by so much over extrusion.

You might be able to disassemble it and extract the filament. If you do then please make a video about it because it would be real helpful for other people.

That twin geared internal lever that engages with the serrated filament drive wheel, lever on the right of the funnel, can be flipped back (towards the rounded front of the feeder) and will allow you to pull the filament out. If you're looking at the feeder, it on the right hand side of the funnel. It's an arm with two gears (upper and lower) and pivots at the bottom of the lever. Give that a try and see if it fixes it

Should probably say who manufactures the filament, so we can avoid it if that not the correct diameter stated by the manufacturer?
