Love the use of an old recording of JM playing a terrible sounding piezo acoustic while presenting this beauty.

Ive had my 1969 D28 for decades. Beat up and scratched massively. True neck every note. Sounds so good the Canadian soruce and Brazilian rosewood and deep mahogany. No envy here but this does look sexy. Also, weird song to be playing to sell the Martin.

Dang it’s purty. But here I am with my old vintage westerly Guild DV52 and D25, still sounding like pianos since the 1980s.
Yeah, they’re heavy, and still not needed a reset. Thanks for the shots of the Martin, it’s gorgeous.
I passed on a D28 many years ago for the guild and am still happy with the choice, and money saved.

Finally, an explanation as to why prices are so high on instruments: manufacturers build for commercially successful artists, and everyone pays for it.

19k? I can get a better luthier guitar for quarter of that, tho the case is pretty sweet.

The binding comes off a lot of high end seen at least ten or so this year even the John Mayer and Eric Clapton models.

I was amazed at how disgustingly horrible the guitar sounded despite the fact that it wasn't modern metal I was hearing. Then I noticed the name JM, who endorced it, and understood why. Only JM could engineer music, so bad sounding yet still be listened to. What amazing talent.

That horrid piezo sound on an otherwise perfectly fine acoustic.

It’s more pretty than functional, could this be why Fender didn’t want him
