Thing is that she doesn’t know how it feels to his extent. She had nothing to start off with so she wouldn’t know what it was like to all of a sudden lose everything like Hades did. Only til later on in the movie when they really reconnect is when she understood what he had felt when she was about to lose everything which was when Celia throw the stone into the water. That’s when she felt her whole world crumble just like Hades felt. Yes, she deserved better growing up but once she realized what Hades was describing is when she really got the dad she deserved.

This is something that i kinda like that they addressed, that a lot of times, when children of parental abuse are younger, theyll often blame the parent that left more than the abuser because they view them still looking after the victim as love

Imma be honest, serious props to her.. she flinches from the yelling and the sudden movement, and her breathing picks up pace slightly, which is a sign that she panicked and possibly had a flashback or something, but she still yells right back. Shes good at covering it. And thats terrifying.
