I realised just how powerful kite's restriction actually is, Kite is someone who hates taking lives, and the restriction of once he draws his weapon he "has to use it" meaning he needs to kill something with it or damage at the very least. This for a average hunter in the Hunter Hunter world does not seem like a strong restriction, but for Kite specifically its probably stronger or just as strong as kurapikas restriction just from the way he views taking lives, as he has always been dedicated to saving them mostly.

Counter argument. Kite is very much used to dealing with clowns thanks to his ability so it gives him the edge experience wise 🤣

Kite (who had just gotten his arm ripped off) deeply impressed Pitou with how well he fought, even to the point of Pitou creating a hatsu simply to relive that experience. When comparing that to how ineffective the combined efforts of Knuckle, Shoot, Morel, Melereon etc were against Youpi (even to the point where Youpi just leaves them lying without killing them because he's so far above them), I'd say Kite is incredibly underrated as a fighter.

I think HIsoka said something after his fight with Kastro. That it doesn't matter if he knew how his ability works. I think that shows how much versitlity his ability has.

“Hisoka is geared for pvp while kite is geared towards pve “ literally the best explanation you could ask for

I think the crazy slots might actually give kite something good I could see it wanting to be the strongest clown around and giving kite his first good roll

I remember that Kite post dead had a very intriguing conversation with the koala when they both last appeared, I definitely see some huge potential for something coming from it, like Kite being more ant than himself. I wish that Togashi was healthier nowadays :(

What many people forget about Kite's Nen ability is that while it doesn't make him choose the weapon he wants, it always gives him the weapon he needs for his situation! It is kinda subconscious !

I think it comes down to this: for Kite, nen combat is always a means to an end. He's the type to fight when all other options fail. Hisoka is all about the battle though. And this mindset can sometimes make the difference.

If you think about it, nearly everybody that Hisoka has killed in battle were one-trick ponies. They spend all of their time and energy on one technique (e.g. Kastro and Gotoh). They don't even try to figure out different ways to use their one ability. All Hisoka needs to do to see the ability once and he will find a way to counter it. So, someone who can practice only one attack isn't going to do well against a person who can create 100 attacks on the fly.

Considering the fact that Kite seemed disapointed every time the "crazy slots" gave him a weapon, we can assume that those are the "limited" weapons, and maybe he knew that there are better and more versatile weapons that the crazy slots refuses to give him.

Just to clarify, the reason why Kite was unable to us Nen in that one scene where Gon promises to get him back to normal is that Knuckle used Hakoware to take his Nen away. It had nothing to do with Pitou’s Dr. Blythe.

Basically, Knuckle used Hakoware to take away Zombie-Kite’s Nen, and then Shoot used Hotel Rafflesia to put him in his birdcage.

Not knocking the video or anything, just thought I’d point that out 🤓🤓🤓

I think another important piece of data for scaling Kite (however little this actually tells us) is the condition that Pitou was in after fighting an extremely nerfed Kite (he did the entire fight missing an arm and after battling his way to the nest). Pitou had barely a scratch on them, but that's still not nothing. And they seemed to really enjoy fighting Kite. So, there might be a lot more that we don't know about.

Lot to unpack in this situation and then consider against how we think Hisoka would fair against a character like Pitou. It's very important to realize that Pitou was possibly significantly weaker at the time, as they had just been birthed.

Ultimately my money is still on Hisoka. The guy is a freak. It's hard to bet against anyone who can push Chrollo the way he did, especially after seeing Chrollo take on the two patriarchs of the Zoldyck family AT THE SAME TIME.

I thought crazy slots worked by giving Kite the weapon that was actually best for that particular situation. Like the scythe helped clear multiple enemies at once, the gun was perfect for killing the small chimera ants and the staff was needed for him to resurrect.

One thing I noticed about kite's crazy slots is it seems not as random as it seems. Every time he uses it gives the best weapon for whatever situation he's in. In the forest surrounded by enemies is perfect for the scythe, and the gun is useful in most situations especially if the enemies aren't grouped together and even if they are, the gun came out most often. And of course against pitou, the magic wand which saved his life in whatever mysterious way it does. If it was just random, and a different weapon came out, then he'd probably definitely just be Dead dead instead of dead alive or reincarnated or whatever.

Something unaccounted for: Kite was tought by Ging. You know, the guy that saw Leorio's nen ability once - ONCE - and proceeded to not only perfectly copy it, but improve upon it. Another key point is what Ging told Gon about Kite's Crazy Slots, which was something like 'Kite has a number he only gets when he's in a bad spot, and it makes him really hard to kill' (haven't read in a while so not gonna even attempt to quote him verbatim). I just want to reiterate that Kite was taught by someone who, after only witnessing a few panels of him actually using nen (the few combat scenes as well as the nen control game he plays with his new crewmates), completely changed every reader's perspective - at least those who pay attention - on how nen works. There's a fairly consistent pattern of compliments correlating to ability in HxH, and Ging has consistently been portrayed as one of the - if not the most - well known and respected nen users. If a guy like that dishes out complimentary statements towards someone, there's probably a bit more going on there than we readers know. Also, who's to say Kite doesn't have a direct counter to Hisoka's bungee gum in his Crazy Slots' numbers?

I’d go with kite. Most people are simply caught off guard with what hisoka is planning. Not to discredit his abilities because he is super creative. “In” also can sense nen, flashing in instead of gyo would give him a good idea of what hisoka is doing. Either way it’s a good fight tho. Also he does still have other slots, I’d imagine the scythe was brought out for for large numbers. Carbine for multiple little targets, the little mace to avoid death. He is likely getting that piercing rifle at the start until the situation changes.

This would definitely be one of the most interesting fights in the series if it ever happened - polar opposite personalities (Kite is overly cautious of everything and Hisoka gets more excited the stronger the threat), and polar opposite nen abiities (Kite with supposedly no control over what weapon he'll get, while Hisoka is always in the driver's seat when it comes to his Bungee Gum and Texture Suprise abilities, having ridiculous control of them).
