Dr. Ali, please another video of Space Psychology. I'm very keen to learn more about this. I also have a dream working on NASA and helps them with their astronauts' psychological conditions. 😊

Artificial Intelligence can never be useful in assisting personnel deployed to long-term space flights. You will always need human psychologists who are capable of empathy and creative applications of theoretical approaches. AI would not only be ineffective but most likely will exacerbate Psy-Sx in the deployed subject. Further, although your enthusiasm is great, and I wish this were so for NASA, almost all areas of behavioral science all but disappeared in 1963. We really haven't done any significant research in NASA since then. A prominent psychologist working for NASA stated that she believes that the United States is easily 30-40 years behind its ESA and Russian space program counterparts in the application of human behavioral science in space exploration. Most of the data NASA uses today is produced by ESA and Russian programs. The program that uses Psychological and other behavioral science studies in space exploration is the Russian Federation. As a Psychologist interested in Transcosmic Behavioral Implications for humans, I am a bit embarrassed to have to admit that NASA restricts behavioral researcher and research access to astronauts even from its own NASA psychologists and psychiatrists. That's just insane as we are missing numerous opportunities to understand Cognitive, neurological, and affect data. There are cross-cultural differences which may significantly impact Russian produced data when applied to North American Astronauts. In fact, it could facilitate the development of unsafe psychological processes and conditions.

Super interesting, I, like Mario, dream of working for NASA psychologically. Great video, the only thing is it's Matthew McConaughey not Matt Damon ahaha!

Hi Dr. Ali, do you know how one can get a job working as a space psychologist (in NASA behavioral health)? I am an undergrad majoring in psychology and planning on getting a PhD in clinical psychology when I apply in about two years. How can I prepare to make myself a competitive applicant for this position?

I’m pretty young and I’ve been interested in psychology from a very young age. I haven’t even finished my IGCSES so my question is do you think it’s worth it if I pursue something like space psychology from now?

Do you think 4D technology with familiar family and activities showing during exercise (Like wearing the 4D technology and sensing the feeling of walking the astronauts dog during exercise on the treadmill) help Astronauts ward off depression and have a better mood?

Gamers aren't capable of surviving on Mars. Gamers aren't even capable of helping significantly in cleaning up the current environment.

Gamers and space don't mix, how's that for
