Mitchell Lawrence Free market will lower the costs, I doubt, because the main purpose for insurance companies is making profit. Affordable medicare is mainly based on solidarity, a system where everyone pays for insurance, as we do in the Netherlands. We introduced the market system years ago in the Netherlands and many people are not happy with it. It also delivers a lot more administration for doctors, hospitals, that are dealing with all those different ensurance companies. Before that ensurance was mainly a government business with one office
