💡 The Ophanim are also equated as the "Thrones", associated with the "Wheels", in the vision of Daniel 7:9 (Old Testament) They are the ones who are a Wheel with in a Wheel

⭐️Cherubim

💡 Third highest in the hierarchy of choir of angels

💡 Cherubim are known to have four wings

💡 These are the angels who are closest to God

💡 They are the Bearers of the Throne and the archangels

💡 They encircle his throne and emit an intense fiery light representing his love

💡 They serve the will of God, performing divine duties in the earthly realm.

💡 Their initial responsibility was protecting the Garden of Eden as referenced in the book of Genesis.

💡 The cherubim are first introduced in the Bible in Genesis 3:24, “After He drove the man out, He placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.”

💡 Before his rebellion and fall from heaven, Satan was a cherub (Ezekiel 28:12-15).

Fun fact, the Thrones, or those things with the eyed-wheels, are not actually to scale yet. From what I've gathered, Ezekiel described the thing to be so big it was "bigger than the sky." The reason the Thrones look weird when you see the angels gathered is because it wouldn't be like that, because *ONE* Throne would take up *AT LEAST HALF OF YOUR SCREEN*

I can only describe this, that these actual angel descriptions are just the true power and beauty of God. These angels are of protection and in the name of God and should not be feared.

I remember the first time I heard about the different angels. It was mind blowing, as I've grown up religious, but had never heard of seraphim or ophanim. And when I heard of their impossible beauty, I was struck with beautiful terror as I imagined what it might be like to encounter such a thing. The thought and imagery of my human self being gazed upon by an immaculate existence, its wisdom beyond what I could know. It would see straight into my soul, aware of every sin I've committed, every doubt of God, every perversion of man. The first time I thought about this, I cried. For what would we do in the face of the Almighty himself if even the angels bring fear into the hearts of the wicked?

One thing we need to understand is that this is only the closest representation that we have to the actual angels. We can't begin to understand how they actually look and it just shows to us how powerful God is.

When I died briefly, I didn't see any angels. I did, however, experience a White Light. The light was more than light. It was: love, joy, peace, etc. I knew it wasn't my time, and that I shouldn't look directly at the light. When it appeared to me, the light was behind me. I didn't hear angels singing, etc. It was very quiet, peacefully quiet. I came back with an understanding of why we were given a physical life.

it makes sense of “do not be afraid”, and the scared reactions of people in the bible when they saw angels, like in joseph’s dream, or when the women went to jesus’ tomb and an angel appeared to them. I’d be freaked out too

For some reason the more I look at them the more I think they are pretty. Just turn off the volume and look at the Angels for a while they become so beautiful

The bible describes them with eyes, but these renders are human eyes, worldly eyes. We have no clue what heavenly eyes look like (Just like we have no clue what our heavenly bodies will look like). So it's impossible to depict what exactly these angels will look like. All we know is that they MUST be amazingly beautiful. Just imagine the most beautiful thing you've seen in your life... now X that.
