Gravitational Wave emission from a Binary Black Hole merger (2D): the language of the Universe

Emission of GWs (gravitational waves) by a BBH (binary black hole) right before the merger.
Here we also see the presence of junk radiation, which is why in NR (numerical relativity) simulations we remove the data arriving to our GW-detectors before they have been causally connected to the BBH system.
This is a first attempt into this type of animation. In the near future I may try to do this but for longer (and more interesting) simulations.
The magnitude that is represented with a gradient of colors is: r² Re{Ψ_4}.
