Subaru's fifth generation Forester might not look a whole lot different from the previous model, but that doesn't mean there's not a truck-load of great stuff going on in this latest edition. Kelley Blue Book's Micah Muzio walks us through all the new goods from Subaru.

We have a Limited model 2019, it’s awesome I traded in my Silverado for it. No regrets at all. The power is fine no issues on the highway or the hilly mountains were I live. It’s also great in the snow. Drives smooth and quite. Handles excellent. Tons of room in the back and front seats. We absolute love it. Oh yeah we’re getting about 33 highway and 30 city. That’s calculating with fill ups and miles not using the system. The safety features are amazing. Were we live is very hilly/mountainous again no issues with power at all. I guess if you want a race car this is not for you.

The Foresters value is unparalleled compared to its competition, not to mention it being the only one with REAL AWD capabilities and not something a company threw together just to compete... Rav 4

I just got the Subaru Forester 2020 touring in horizon blue pearl with the brown leather on June 30th. Love it never going back to a Kia.

We have a 2018 forester and really like it. When someone commented that it looks like a grandmother or grandfather should be driving it, i said hey that's not right. Then I thought about it for a minute, I am a grandfather and that's not a bad thing to be

I Absolutely LOVE my 19 Forester Touring !!!
I wanted to buy a Sport, but the interior colors were 1990 Gloomy Grey and all other models are either Gloomy Grey or Death Black.
We’re sick and tired of those horrible colors.
I do love the Saddle Brown leather interior. I’ve had several people complement the brown interior.
My wife’s 19 Outback has beautiful Ivory interior. She too has gotten many complements on the color of her interior.
Our Outback and Forester are the only vehicles that we’ve owned in which we don’t have to fold down the rear seats when my wheelchair is in the back.
The outward visibility is great.
I replaced my 11 Rav 4WD Limited with my Forester Touring. My auto insurance premium DROPPED by just over $300 per year.
I looked at a new Rav before buying my Subie.
I was Very disappointed in the quality, fit and finish, road noise, engine noise, comfort in the new Rav. It wasn’t nearly as nice as my 11 Rav.
The Forester surpassed everything over my 11 Rav and was miles ahead of the 19 Rav.

In spring of 24, Subaru will introduce a completely redesigned Forester with the Rav / Venza hybrid system producing over 200hp and getting 37mpg city, 39mpg freeway.
I’ll wait until the 26 year model hybrid so Subaru can work the bugs out.
By then my current Forester will probably have around 25K miles. As of today, (4.7.23), I have only 7, 500 miles on my Forester.
My rear passenger’s are impressed with the heated rear seats. I’m glad the steering wheel is heated as well.
I cannot say enough great things about my Forester.
I’ll definitely buy another one.

I think we have a winner, Mr. Muzio. Good video, I'm sold, seems to be the most refined version of the Forester yet.

Sure, don’t mention anything about how well symmetrical all wheel drive works in snow situations. There’s snow in the world....and lots of it....and THAT’S why so many people choose Subaru.

Хорошая машинка. После тест-драйва жене тоже очень понравилась. Трасса, разбитая дорога, снежная целина, подъёмы, спуски - везде едет уверенно, не напрягаясь.

Folks need to stop complaining about the CVT. People didn't like because it "felt funny". So Subaru made it emulate automatic shifts. Now they don't like it because it "feels funny". It's a CVT just let it be what it is and stop complaining and enjoy the 32 MPG all-wheel-drive it delivers because CVTs are ingenious.

My wife has a 19 Outback and I have a 19 Forester touring with Brown interior.
She has Ivory interior.
We have to put our Subie’s into Xmode just to get up our private road and into our garage during the winter months due to our 5-6 feet of snow every winter.

Just did a run to Vegas from Los Angeles. 560 mile range on a full tank. Won’t win awards for accelerating but engaging enough to keep me awake and more comfortable than my Honda CRV ever was. If you’re married your wife probably won’t let you open the huge sun roof, more for those “me” time drives. Drives great on the testing ground route 2 mountain area hugs curves and very little sway. My three favorite features are ability to charge phones with engine off, pin code access on Premium and above (w power lift gate package) for beach lovers that don’t want to misplace a $400 key, and the free screwdriver!

Micah, another fun and informative review. I like your breezy style. No doubt, Subie is hitting their targeted segment: safe, functional, reliable and economical with minimum thrills and frills. My wife loves her 2016 Forester, though I agree that a little more power and a geared tranny would be nice. She doesn't miss the get-up-and-go and likes slow over fast. Congrats to Subie for sticking with the H4 boxer engine, which is more expensive to make and maintain with about the same power as a I4. I guess it plays a major role in the car-like ride and handling. I'm glad Subie marches to its own drummer and doesn't try to be the CUV/tall wagon for everyone. After all, we don't need another CRV or RAV4.

Literally every car review on this channel is like "yea this car is great buy it!" Guys your reviews are way to mellow and lack any good critical analysis / comparisons.

I’ve had it for 2 weeks now, overall love it, couple complaints though:
1. Can’t change XM radio through wheel control
2. Rear vents barely blow air
3. There is a plastic piece near the driver side window that reflects the white lane lines and I find it really distracting

I just got 2019 Forester Premium version. Amazing safety features and drives like a car. It doesnt have pep in the engine but I feel safe and secure in the vehicle driving. Coming from F150 Ecoboost and Prius plugin.
