Licensed gun owners can no longer carry their firearms into the State Fair of Texas. This new policy stems from a shooting at last year's fair that injured three people.

So since they didn't do their job last year and failed to catch somebody sneaking a gun in, now all of the lawful gun owners get punished? Ok then, they won't be getting money from me or my family from here on out then.

A Note for All: The person with gun last year was not licensed to carry and therefore was not allowed to carry in the fair in the first place. This policy change would not have changed the outcome of last year's shooting since he snuck it in. This is a BS response that simply only negatively affect law abiding gun owners.

Because a criminal—who shouldn't have had a gun in the first place—shot three people, law-abiding citizens must now go to the State Fair unarmed. Brilliant. I'm sure that the criminals will also leave their guns at home before heading to to the fair.

Controlling guns does not work. Training people and then holding them accountable does. All these problems we have in our society today all come back to the same source... Ignorance.

Thank you for this new story. This will be the first time I miss the State Fair in a long time. If I can't carry my weapon, I don't go. I hope this doesn't turn into a January 7th moment.
