If you have a newer GE front load washing machine, one of the most-common problems is having a unit that does not spin up properly and ends up failing to wash your clothes.

In this video, I show you how to access error codes, and how to test to identify and replace the inverter (PN #WH22X35837) as well as other key components that may be at fault.

I have 2 of these washers, less than 4 yrs old. The inverter board went out on both within 2 months of eachother. Paid a GE repair tech $480 to replace it the first time. Thanks to you I'm going to do it myself the second time and save a ton of money.

Subscribed and like man I called a repair man to check out my washer charged me 350 dollars and said the part as been discontinued and I need a new washer I looked it up on ebay order and replaced it. Works like new if it wasn't for your video I would spent 2k for a new washer thank you so much for what you do.

Sir, you are a king! My part arrived today and in 45 minutes I had the part replaced and the machine up and running again. Considering buying another part in case it gets discontinued! well done and thank you.

Thankyou so much sir. I had a ge washer with the 5 second spin during testing and after watching your video I ordered an inverter board. Problem fixed. Your video made it super easy to remove the front panel of the washer and swap the board. I ended up using a woodworking trigger clamp with a reversed jaw to stretch the gasket spring enough to re-install (with zip ties like you mentioned). Great video.

You posted this just at the right time. Currently dealing with issues with my GE front-load washer right now and this is saving me a lot of time and money. Already had a handyman come out and replace the drain filter but turns out that wasn’t the issue. With your video I’m troubleshooting the issues and accessing the error codes myself rather than paying someone else to come out just to tell me the inverter motor is fried and I need to replace the entire washer, which unfortunately seems to be the case. Thanks!

A HUGE THANK YOU!!!! There are so many videos on YouTube that are not specific or clear on their instructions. Your video was so helpful and clear that after just watching it a couple of times I was able to do the repair on my own. Thank you so much for the service you provide. I only wish I had ordered the part from you. It’s important to me to support people who support the community. Next time I will buy my products from you.

Dude, that was a fantastic and very thorough video on how to fix this style of washer! I think it is funny because you state on your channel that you are not mechanically inclined. Hell, you could have fooled me!
Good luck with your YouTube Channel and your business.

Thanks so much for this information. Ours stopped and I got the board in today. Took about an hour to do it and I used the wire tie clamp method to do the spring. Did not have to remove the weight or tilt the wash and I did not remove the top either. As the codes pointed directly to this as the problem when the drum spun freely.

In the beginning of the video you kept saying inverter motor but the whole time you’re talking about the inverter BOARD! Lol anyways, good video. These inverters go out left and right

This repair sucked. Not because it was particularly difficult to do, just because I'm really irritated that my washer is BARELY over a year old and I had to drop $~140 on a part to fix it. However, I did get it put back together enough to test, and it fixed my spin problem. The diagnostic went perfectly and I cleared trouble codes and got it all put back together. Not happy with appliances these days, but it is what it is I guess.

Thank you very much for this video

Please consider a video on window air conditioners. What are good models. The ones sold at Home Depot, Lowe's and Walmart seem to be disposables.
I have a 98' 7800 Btu Panasonic window AC, and a Kenmore 8000 Btu that was purchased about six years ago when the stores were closing.
The Panasonic is much heavier, quieter and blows the doors off the Kenmore.

Ben! I have the wifi capable version of this wacher with the "tide" auto dispenser.
I've used Tide's washing machine cleaner with oxi a couple times now, but I'm curious if it's overkill. One packet caused the entire machine to fill with suds. After the painfully long (nearly a whole day) self clean cycle, there were still cleaner detergent particles in the drum. The instructions state not to use it with clothes so I ran some empty wash cycles to purge it. I then experimented by using about half of the pack and it only caused 1/3 -1/2 of the drum to fill...but no detergent remained that time.
Serious question: Is the totally full drum necessary for self clean?

I can’t seem to find the video for the draining pump removal. Can you link it ? I didn’t see it at the end of the video either

Inverter board? I have to assume because the motor is DC? I wonder if there will come a time that electricity is converted to DC when in comes into the home, or maybe even on the utility pole. All our electronic devices have converters to DC and all major appliances will run more efficientely with DC motors. Look at split system A/C units for an example. And of course if solar is part of the equation staying DC all the way is also more efficient. LED light bulbs run on DC and convert within, no? AC was great for incandescent lights, but who uses them anymore? Giant battery farms are springing up in our neighborhoods and they have to invert/convert coming and going each way significant losses. I may not see it in my lifetime but I think DC is the future. Not of course for transmission, but once at a reasonable proximity. I came here thinking about buying a GE washer but your videos are scaring me away. Thanks.
