Being an RC youtuber may sound like every RC hobbyists dream but the shocking reality is its not quite as glamourous as it may first seem.

There are many misconceptions and opinions people form about youtubers and our honesty/integrity

Today it is time to talk about some of the most common problems i face as an RC youtuber.

Hopefully this video doesn't offend. Thats not my intention this video is more for education and informing than offending.

If you enjoy this slightly less formal format let me know in the comments and maybe drop down some topics you would like me to cover or talk about next time.

Cheers for watching

Lots of the big companies themselves advertise their RC cars on skate park in the promo videos. As for the kid thing, it’s not down to me to Police other people‘s kids. This is YouTube adults, there’s another app for kids called YouTube kids if parents let their kids watch adult videos That’s on them not me. End of the day you just have to do the hobby which ever way was the biggest smile on your face and that is the right way that you’re doing the hobby for you. People always complain how others are having fun, and complain about other channel. Solution is simple, don’t watch, 1000’s of other channels out there to watch, they don’t need to watch mine or copy mine.

As a new YouTuber I’m learning that it’s not all fun and games. I appreciate your honesty and transparency.

I hope you enjoyed part 2 and i hope i covered some things which i forgot last time! Some of the things mentioned in todays video are controversial and its not my intention to offend anyone/other channels this is just a video based on my opinion/experiences in the last 5 years i have been doing YouTube. I will probably do a part 3 later in the year and if there is anything in particular you would like me to cover make sure you drop a comment down below! 👍

Yes, it's a hobby. My hobby isn't buying parts that I have broken. Buying parts for me is hop-ups or parts that do break from a normal run on a couple packs. I avoid bashing. It happens on it's own. A perfect day is charging, running, and placing my hard earned money and time back on the shelf for another run another day. I do buy the durable bashing vehicles because I'm not as good as I think I am.

You're SPOT ON about the paid promotion thing. Many channels don't tick that box and they should be doing so because YouTube could take action against your video for not. Anytime I have even so much as a free battery in a car I'm featuring in a video, even if that battery is unseen, I still tick that box. The only videos you don't see the paid promotion box on, are videos where every vehicle in the video has been bought and paid for by myself, a member of my team, or Rek RC itself. I wish more people understood this because you don't want to get sideways with YouTube before you even get your channel off the ground.

I still forget to turn mic on 😅
I don’t do skateparks either and RCs are not even allowed in them where I am.
Videos and editing is a real chore and channel growth is a definite grind. So thanks for telling us smaller channels that were not alone and definitely not the first. Cheers mate .

Major props to all you do. I can only imagine how much time and money it takes to run a channel.
My brief experience with social media and my RC was starting an Instagram account for my 1:24 crawling. Within 2 weeks it absolutely ruined the hobby for me. RC was (and is again now) my only outlet to tinker without deadlines or pressure. As soon as I started caring about likes and shares I went bananas. Shut it right down! 😆

So, Im happy you’re finding a balance of enjoyment with sharing your RC experience. I appreciate your approach and your channel. 👌 No pressure from here!

Once again i agree. Skatepark bashing is not for me. I also don't want to ruin a perfectly brand new rc. ✨️

These videos are the best. We differ slightly on some topics, but it's good to hear another YT'ers thoughts.

I don’t actually own a rc but enjoy watching a few channels, yours, tomely and derby city . I like that you cover different cars and have different methods. It makes for a great complete picture of a car. I think having your channel focus on the more affordable end is a smart move, and brings more newcomers into the hobby. If I see all three of you say a car is good, then I know it would be a great one to get. I know that you have to go where the viewers are, but I think your channel has a nice identity right now and the longer you can keep that the better

I actually get anxiety watching these guys just abuse the sh!t out of their RC’s!! Even if it’s free. I just don’t like tearing my stuff up. I don’t care if it’s a $100 RC or a $2500 RC… I still take care of my RC’s like they are pets😳… so, I get it.

I agree with your stance on skateparks. Like you I was raised to appreciate what I own, which is why these type of tests don't interest me. I don't understand the idea when cars/ trucks that are launched 20/30 ft. in the air and land harshly only for the owner to act surprised when something breaks. They just weren't designed for that type of abuse. Keep doing what you are doing, I for one enjoy your realistic reviews. 😁👍

Love your content and trust your reviews. You just keep doing you. If you can do something you enjoy / hobby and get paid for it, amazing !! Left a like 👍👍👍👍

I watch your channel to get some other opinions about some of the other main stream cars, but also to watch your cheaper RC reviews. I first thought they were all crap but I have learned a few things watching your channel, I appreciate that your channel is different.. otherwise why bother watching any others? keep going man, I'll keep watching..
