7:40 - This transparency glitch with the honey is caused by the Sodium mod, it doesn't happen in vanilla. It's a long-standing rendering bug that'll be fixed in Sodium 0.6 (which to my knowledge is currently still being worked on).

I’m not done yet, but I’m wondering if you’ll add bee hives that are ready for harvest on the underside of the sulphur river layer.

Get the particle effect of the yellow drips to look like the sulphuric layer is dripping down and polluting the river.

Just a thought: I wonder how ochre froglights would look in the walls of the double decker river. It may have a cool effect on the sulfur river at night.

A sideways Soul Lantern on a "small stand" armorstand hand would be perfect for the "Digital Read-Out Display" for the "till/cash register".
Cleo used them for "Mirrors" on some Motorcycles she made for Joel recently. They looks fantastic there and would totally fit the look youre going for.

I was facepalming too, when Ren didn't know how to make water sources after 12 years of playing Minecraft.

The sulfur river could waterfall a little, to follow the top of the terrain.
You would end up with different head heights underneath, but that could be useful for the detailing as well!
