With the 1.21 update comes armadillos, and with armadillos comes a scute farm! The solarpunk base gets an expansion with some new aesthetics.

However, it seems the permit office has taken issue with the shopping district nether portal... Now what shall we do about that?...

If the Permit Office continues to bother you about the portal you can always just hide it under a bunch of scaffolding with signs like "Destruction imminent in the next 3 months" or "in the process of being torn down" etc. And then after a few months you put up new signs: "Construction in the works. Expected completion in 4 months" or so. That way they can't argue about it since it's a process(like Iskall's Apartments xD)

Scar sounding so scandalized while saying "She brought receipts!" is still very funny to me.

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE? That "bee" has 8 legs... You made an flying arachnid with a stinger.

This gave my brain an idea, when the actual portal eventually gets built, all of the characters from the current portal can be built somewhere else, walking away from the portal spot using their cursed limbs.

Pearl: "My mission is to make the portal so absolutely hideous it *wreaks psychic damage* on the server, and _certainly not_ to make it even derpier, cuter, more endearing or nostalgia-inducing"
*_Difficulty: Impossible_*

Put dripstone under the drone so it actually drips water.

They aren't "Pop-up" Shops, they're micro-shops! Trendy, hip, sleek and stylish.

Also I can't wait to see the Hermits reactions to the new SD Portal!

I really like the idea of Pearl making the portal more horrifying the more the permit office asks her to fix it. Hopefully it gets even worse!!!

Suggestion for the watering machine: have a dispenser drop out splash water bottles every so often--it would add movement and a bit of unpredictability to the base. Put a few hoppers around it pointing down and it'll look like the hoppers are sprinkling the crops

Pearl.. You just gave the skrunkly nether portal guys even more personality. Now it is gonna be even harder to say goodbye to them, eventually

7:03 for the small drone, maybe the waterlogged copper grates will drip water down and achieve what you wanted to show the drones sprinkling water?

If I may, Pearl, I would recommend making the Fern and Lillypad Shop one large shop that is a forest (fern-selling section) encrusting a pond or on the edge of a river/swamp/mangrove delta (lilly-pad-selling section). That way, it'd be almost like you're growing them on-site.

The fact that you're just trying to have fun, while interpreting the Permit Office's request, is why I'm here! I love the bright, horrifying & cute portal designs, Pearl!

Suggestion: How about removing the big propeller and adding a balloon instead? Keep the smaller ones for steering and then add the ballon to make it float. Feels kinda solarpunk and somehow calmer than propellers.
Love the build!

The new portal feels like it was pulled straight out of the build swap days; there is no rhyme or reason to it whatsoever and I love it

Dear god Pearl. This is just using your beautiful building prowess for pure evil; flipping everything on its head to make monstrosities

The segment with Tango put a massive smile on my face. You two have a wonderful dynamic

I cannot stop laughing at Pearl's attempt to procrastinate on the shopping district portal by making it look atrocious. 😂 And I'm glad the bone shop stayed put!

The Shopping District portal needs some screaming goats hidden inside it!
