I am a single mom. I never expected to have to teach my 16 year old son how to shave. I found this helpful. Thanks.

Before I grew my beard I used electrics for a long time. One more tip -- don't press hard, use a light touch. Surprisingly, that is more effective than bearing down.

I'm in my 60s and trying an electric razor for the first time. I found this video to be full of a lot of useful information. Thanks

I have used Braun, Remington and Phillips Norelco 7240XL(my favorite). They all are good but one should ALWAYS clean it after each use(brush the cuttings out) and once a month, do thorough cleaning, I place just a drop of lavender oil on the blades/trimmer one in a while. Remember, if you are just starting to use an electric razor, it takes about THREE WEEKS for one's face to get use to an electric razor! After six days of straight shaving, give your face a rest. Skip a day and then start again.
P.S. I use the Gillette Fusion 5 as it has a Precision Trimmer on the back of the blade cartridge for edging tough areas and styling facial hair. I use it on the corners of my mouth for the short straight/curly hairs that is difficult for an electric razor to cut and one cartridge lasts for months!

I used an electric shaver for about 30 years. (Mostly Philips shavers) But switched to wetshaving about 2 month's ago. (I should have done that a long time ago.) Irritation was never a problem. But getting a good close shave. Especially the hair under the jaw were difficult to shave. I found out that wetshaving is not only way more effective. But also just feels so much better.

I had been having to shave my 19 y/o son, as he has autism and does not have the manual dexterity to safety shave himself. He is almost a foot taller than me, and I think it embarrassed him to have his mom shaving him. After this video, I bought him a electric razor and he can now take care of his own shaving. Thank you so very much for this, and thank you for your service!❤🤍💙

I bought an electric razor because of a stroke that limited the use of my left hand. Worked great and as I gained use of my hand back, I went back to my disposable razor. Semper Fi!

I don't know what is he talking about. With an electric shaver (Philips) I have no irritation at all and can shave dry straight. With a safety razor it's itchy if too aggressive and needs balm.

Another thing that helps if you dry shave is to use a Pre-Shave, as it dries the face of perspiration, removes any oils, cools the skin a bit, and makes the hairs stand-up for a better shave with less passes... I use either Lectric Shave or Afta Pre-Shave with my Philips S3000 Wet/Dry every time I shave...

My dermatologist recommendet storage the shaving head of the electrical razor (where the blades are) in a high alcohol solution, I'm just using rubbing alcohol. By this, it is always desinfected which in turn reduces the chances of you getting razor burns

I do not use an electric razor, however I do use lotion as an extra lubricant with shaving cream and a good sharp razor. I then finish with a good after shave balm. good video keep it up.

If you have allergies to some of the Aftershaves on the market like me.

Use plain old Witch hazel.
I learned this trick from a Ballerina I useto date. And it works great, and it's been working great for 5+ years now.

I happen to have sensitive skin so i use a warm wet face towel after shaving instead of using aftershave and it works for me, no breakouts but smooth skin.😀
