I love exposure therapy. I've been debilitatingly afraid of spiders my whole life. To the point where I've even peed myself when I was startled by one ^^;; But my dream is to live in the country and I know I wouldn't be able to do that, or grow vegetables, and live with my fear. Over the last year I've been doing exposure therapy and have even been brave enough to touch a tarantula! I saw a spider in the house last week and was able to calmly put it in a cup and take it outside. Freedom from fear is liberation. Videos from people like you are instrumental at keeping my phobia under control, because in exposure therapy, if you lessen your exposure to your phobia, your phobia will come back. So I subscribed to channels like yours who post weekly videos of spiders, who clearly love their spiders, and don't try to perpetuate fear. I am so grateful!!

Thanks. I have been watching YouTubers like you, tarantula Dan, Spider-Man, and Dark Den to help me.

As a former arachnophobe myself I know exactly how it feels to be hysterically afraid of spiders. Most of it came from my mother, I think, because she was arachnophobic till the extreme. I internalized her fears and behaviors until I found my own ideas about things.

And you are so right, spiders are utility animals, they take a lot of flies and other insects that we don't want near our food and us.

And how the beauty of the creation reflects the creator!

What a great video. So many of the people I know are terrified of spiders and cannot work out why I keep tarantulas. I try to educate them as much as I can about what they're really like, and they listen & maybe take some things on board. But it's hard convincing people they're not the bloodthirsty monsters they see in their minds

I’ve been wanting a tarantula for as long as I remember. My mom said no as she was deathly afraid, and I just forgot about them. Going through Divorce I was thinking which house pet do I get? I am never home longer than only to sleep, so a dog or cat is out of the question. Then one day was bored, opened YouTube and *Mark’s Tarantulas, Tom Moran, and Tarantula Haven*
Feeding videos were all in a row. ( I used to watch Tarantula Guy 1976 a long time ago but just forgot about T’s ) I watched for Hours. I immediately subbed to all of you, and bought my first T towards end of august. I have 8 now thanks to all of you sharing your passion, excitement and knowledge.

That was frigging cool!!! It made me think of the new IT movie at the end when he says "Fear!" as he falls. Awesome!

Beautifully done, Mark! Between you, Petko, Tom, and Dan I’ve overcome my arachnophobia (as long as there’s a screen between me and the gorgeous creatures! 😂). Seriously, I think I’m ok now, it’s just when they get bolty and I lose them, THEN...not so much. It’s amazing how if you see a tiny house spider and lose it, you’re convinced he’s crawling all over your face while in bed, but, had you not seen one, you never feel a thing! The mind is a beautiful yet tricky bugger, huh?!🤷‍♀️
Again, thank you and to the rest of the men and women who have taught us to appreciate their beauty and educate us as well! ❤️👍

Beautiful video! :) I used to be petrified of em, if I saw one in the house I would start tearing up, and couldn't calm down until it was either removed from the house by someone else, or killed (this makes me so sad now).

Last year I randomly started watching YouTube videos again on tarantulas, years ago I did the same with Rob C, but that ended up making me stay up till 2 PM paranoid lol. But this time has been different! I'm now subscribed to multiple channels and been really learning about them so much, to the point I think they're stunning creatures, fascinating, interesting, and I even handled my first jumping spider last summer, I cared for them by giving them water during a heatwave in the summer and everything ! Though not a 100% there yet, because I still am kinda scared of the bigger house spiders and wolf spiders, I've gotten so far already and have no intend on backing down to this *irrational fear* because that's what it is at the end of the day. A very irrational fear. The spiders we have here in the Netherlands cannot kill me the way my brain likes to tell me. I even wanna own a T one day honestly!
