How I Make Daily Sales on eBay - Reselling Online for Profit

eBay is a huge part of my reseller business - here are my strategies for maintaining daily sales on one of the biggest reseller platforms out there!

It's very easy. List things with a high sell trough rate (You have to list what people are buying). Make sure your items work and are CLEAN. Take decent photos. Sell at a competitive price. No need for sales or promos. I fond items that I pay around $10 and sell for an average of $80. All one off thrift and garage sale finds. About 10% of sales are +$130 profit. I have 200 listings active and sell about 40 items a week. $25k 90 day sales. Hit 2 home runs today. Found 2 furnace blower fans. Paid $10 each. They will sell for $500 each. You just have to put in the time to pick up unique items and look them up. After you do this for a while, you'll be great at it.

We have been on eBay for a long time as well....seriously selling since 2012 but I had an account in the 90s! I also use the dynamic ad rate with a cap, run sales ALL the time. I have sales set to stop in just a few days but immediately start up again until the time limit then I copy them and they start again. I also delist/relist at least 70 items a day. We have a 2600 item store. When you delist/relist you have to change something about the prices/titles or it's kind of pointless. The algorithm isn't easily fooled. lol. It's way more work to make sales there than in the past. We used to sell over three times as much as we do now and all you had to do is list....nothing else!!

I promote at 6% to even out with Poshmark's 20% selling fees. I think I'm going to try the dynamic and see if it boost my sales. Thank you for another great video!

I'm surprised to hear someone uses the Dynamic promotions, the rates seem so high in addition to what you are already charged! That's what drives me nuts about Ebay - it doesn't tell you or give an estimate of what fees will be when you price and list an item or even before you accept an offer. Lots of good stuff to think about here, I just put some things on sale so thanks for the reminder! Soooo many features I just never play around with. I wonder if you could do a part two and talk about which shipping methods/settings you use? That seems to trip people up and I'm never sure if I'm choosing the best options either.

I love this type of video! Always gives me something to think about and possibly tweak my process.

I actually stopped promoting my listings. I would start promoting my items 2 weeks after I listed them. When I started analyzing sales data, most of my sales were on non-promoted items. So I stopped promoting. I do run sales based off the numbers of days on site. I discount at a variable rate 10%-30%. I do it for a short amount of time so the buyer has a sense of urgency.

I wish EBay would show you the breakdown (what your earning) contemplating accepting a offer or sale bc sometimes when I get an offer I’m not sure whether my net earning will benefit me🤔 then I have to use my calculator. I've had an eBay store for several years but never do much more than list things from my extensive "death pile.". Your video has inspired me to try putting some things on sale. Also to consider accepting returns; I never knew the Buyer would have to pay the postage. Thanks for all the good information.

Great video thanks! I have been on EBay since like 2005! I do promotes listings but only at 3%, I run sales too. Was wondering how you strategize discount structures?

How are you making any money at all when you're paying $720 a year for the mega-expensive store plus 30-40% fees (13.55% including fees on shipping +tax on tax and 11-14% dynamic ad rate) on each item?

I keep dragging my heels on Ebay but PM has turned into a graveyard for me, though I am Ambassador 2, 5 years, top ratings, etc. I'm excellent at CS and shipping and have a good closet, yadda yadda. I want to get LP and worry about the learning curve along with adding Ebay. I think your strategies are ones I would definitely follow. I know you probably already did a video on shipping, but if not, that would be on wish list.

Please help! I have a couple of questions about list perfectly. Hope that’s ok. I signed up, and never could get it going because it constantly said page not found or error message, over and over about 20 times, (no exaggeration). Was just way too confusing. Then I read some comments complaining of the same issues. I like to work from my iPad and I did the chrome extention update. So why wouldn’t this work??? Next question, if you already have listings on eBay, can you transfer those to List Perfectly or do I have to start over on List Perfectly to get those items listed there? Thank you so much.

I have a question. I don't have LP yet, but I'm thinking about it. My issue is ebay is my #1, Mercari # 2, Posh #3, Etsy #4, etc. Going this route, my eBay has about 900 items, mercari 600 ish, poshmark 300 ish, etc. If I use Lp, would I know which items are in Ebay / Mercari / Poshmark individually? Or am I going to have to manually check each platform to see if these specific Adidas shoes are on all platforms before I would accidentally cross list a duplicate listing to one of these platforms? Does that make sense? If I have to check every item and every platform, that would be to time consuming.
