Some one installed a 60 AMP METER SOCKET ON 100 AMP SERVICE .This is not a good combination .I can see the lugs on the bottom of this meter socket THEY ARE ONLY 60 AMP RATED. This meter sockets clips became stressed and overheated. Who ever supplied the meter socket should be blamed. This installation is very old. The power companys meter guy SHOULD HAVE NOTICED THIS FAILING SOCKETS BURNT CLIPS AND TOLD THE CUSTOMER IT TIME FORE A 200 AMP SERVICE CHANGE. This meter guy should thank his lucky stars THIS THING COULD HAVE BLOWN UP IN HIS FACE. Im a licensed electrician.

This is a very common issue in my town, , PG&E keeps hiding the burnt meters!!! people might as well be evicted from their homes after installing one of these emf meters.
