My favorite feature is that it can be repaired.

My uncle bought a 1989 Toyota Cressida brand new in January of 1989. He was retired and had no wife and kids, he lived a quiet life and didn't do much driving. When he passed away he had left everything to me including the Toyota Cressida which had less than 8 thousand miles on it and is still like brand new. Very special car.

Had a blue Camry just like this that finally got scrapped with 467000 miles. The body rotted away. Mechanically it was still running perfectly.

That automatic seatbelt is way beyond its time. Classic cars are amazing

My grandmother had this. When she passed she left it to me. It only had 72, 344miles on it. I LOVE that car

Beautiful. Great era. What's great about the 80s-00s is technology was good enough to enjoy but not too good to take away the wholesomeness of everything.

No screens. No phones. Just you and the road and the passengers and good memories. better times.

She’s a real keeper. I owned that car and drove her all the way across country with my young children way back when.

Good I didn’t even know the engine was running until he went outside and lifted the hood!!!! 😂😂😂 That’s more quiet than my 2024! 🤣🤣

The nostalgia! Take me back to my teen years, when an older married couple friends had this exact same car. I thought it was very high end with all the bells and whistles back then!

Old Toyotas are the Millennium Falcon of the car world. They just refuse to die.

I love it when we see an old car in genuine new condition. Time capsule indeed. Beautiful.

In 1987 my mother bought an 87 Camry wagon brand new with like 8 miles on it. She drove it all over the U.S. visiting me at the different Army bases I was stationed at over the years. The thing had over 700, 000 miles on it when it was stolen and destroyed in a police chase in 2002. It went to 48 of 50 states but couldn’t survive Memphis, TN.

My 93 Thunderbird has those sliding belts. Deffinitely gets comments from passengers, both for how neat they are and occasionally an "ouch" followed by cussing when it smacks em in the head because they tried getting out too soon. lol

There’s something beautiful about the simplicity of old cars

My dad had this car in black, uncle had it in silver, and my aunt had it in dark blue. Loved this car.

When I took my EMT training, I just remember my old-timer instructor telling me that those seat belts maim the occupants in accidents. A lot of early 90's GM's had those, too.

I had an 88 Camry. They actually gave insurance discounts for having the automatic seatbelts.
