Yes I forgot about that making sure that the rivet nut is made from the same material as the material worked on.

How would this work on a rectangle tube table leg when I need to put these rivots in each side of the leg Will they not interfere with each other on the inside ?

Its smooth while all of the once that i found have lines edged into them...
