I love it...new to nightwish, and this style of metal. I think it's a stretch to be overly critical here. Greatness in all respects IMO! I suppose some listeners were hoping the music would go in certain direction. Understandable i suppose

Is it only me or so far (Shudder Before The Beautiful) it greatly resembles the "Imaginaerum" album?

Sounds like something I've heard before. Maybe time to learn a few new riffs and patterns?

This album doesn't suck, but it isn't the greatest of Nightwish, either. It's a solid, very good album though. The sound and mixing of course split opinions. One thing to note, there are so many tracks going on at once in this album, the mixing was incredibly difficult, but it ended up really good. It isn't the heaviest sound ever, but at least all the sounds can be heard, unlike in albums like 'Once' which got brickwalled to utter hell. I personally love this richer and wider sound, but then again, understand people who prefer more heavy tone. This is amazing for live sets though.

Ei ehkä paras albumi tältä orkesterilta, mutta silti aivan mahtava! Kyllä Floor on paljon parempi kuin Anette, toki Tarjaa ei voita kumpikaan.

I don't know what the hype is all about Floor's voice. There wasn't a song in this album that made me really notice her singing. It blends in the instrumental well but that's it. But then again, perhaps the album is to blame. It doesn't feel nowhere as good as the others. It leaves no impact and sounds similar to what they have done before.

how dare we be born and complain at inequality and pollution....for most will never get to experience these luxuries. us lucky few that get to experience child abuse and molestation, war and violence....to work for minimum wage all our lives only to die of cancer before retiring....to end up a quadrapedric after dedicating your life to 15 years schooling in astro physics....know that when we, abandoned on the vietnam battlefield to be shot by enemy gunfire as your platoon flies away in the iroquois to safety, ....we were the lucky ones!

Feels bit...weaker. I mean this is a good album so far, but it lacks some of that strong impact. Songs like Romanticide, Planet Hell etc. made my blood absolutely boil, Im afraid this album has not yet done that. But at least this does not sound so "pop" like Dark Passion Play.
