Is a salvage/rebuilt title vehicle worth buying?

First thing to do call your insurance company give them vin# make sure they will insure it

I'd do a rebuilt title if I planned on keeping the vehicle for myself and knew it was solid.

I am looking to purchase a 2002 Honda Accord with 51k miles on it. One owner, & vehicle was involved in a rear-end collision. Damages only came out to 3k but the insurance company totaled the vehicle & sent it to auction. The car is in prestine condition. It looks like it just rolled off of the showroom floor. They are asking $8, 4 for it. Do you think it's worth it?

Carfax said it ran into a fence. It runs and bumper and grill has been replaced. Should I jump on this deal or run?
