There will come a day when Jordan Peterson is universally recognized as one of the greatest philosophical minds of Western Society. I'm so thankful that he was identified and that we have had the past few years hearing his insight.

Jordan Peterson is on another level. No one is close to him.

pause just a minute to think how much good this man is doing to the world.

Every day I feel the burden of my past relationships and memories wishing I had it back because I was happy then and I want to move on but I'm afraid of losing that part of me. Thank you Jordan!

Knowledge is the past. Wisdom points to the future.

I love what he’s saying but i really always find myself back in this negative state of mind i try to speak positive affirmations to myself but its like the little things that piss me off automatically trigger those thought from my past to make me more mad then i get insecure because in so stuck in the past literally watching my life & others just flourish past me

Thanks for reminding me of all those memories that were 10 plus years old that I'd forgotten.

Good points by Jordan Peterson, experience needs to be interpreted because it rarely comes with it's own explanation. The goal is to define our experience rather than having our experiences define us. The problem is most of the experiences that stay with us are emotionally charged. A certain amount of disengagement from our lives can be very helpful. This is why those who've had a near death experience seem to be more centered and happy with their lives afterward. A near death experience is the ultimate if temporary disengagement from ones daily life. There are profoundly valid reasons for being content with where we are in life and where it's taking us but it takes time, sometimes a very long time to discover them.

learn from your past traumas as opposed to feeling like an emotional victim

Frankly, I'm getting more stable the more I obsess over my past and sort it out. I suppose that might might also count as "getting unstuck".

I wake up every day thinking about my failures in relationships. I feel like it’s a weight on me

Very good this. I split up with my second wife several years ago but still find myself in locations in particular where I recall good times with her and my daughter whilst only having passing confrontation with the many times that were very unhappy and destructive. I need to release myself from this trap in the past.

Idk man. I have a lot of memories that I have an emotional reaction to where there’s nothing really to unpack. Just an emotion like missing, or anger, or regret that lives in me for a few moments and passes. I don’t really see any problem with this or any need to go on a campaign of processing these emotions— they’re just like a spice of life for me. Peterson’s an eloquent dude but I don’t think he has a grasp on everyone’s life, people can be very different.

Isaiah 55:11
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Acts 19:20
So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.

2 Timothy 4:2
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

My past was awesome it's the present I hate. "The futures uncertain and the end is always near" too.

Does anyone know the name of the autobiographical program he mentioned? That would be useful.

Can someone tell me the name of the concept that says roughly (sometimes it is better if the situation is worse as it forces one to make a change rather than just linger in the situation.)
