If you like chicken tenders then you'll like Raising Canes because they sell chicken tenders. I think they just sell chicken tenders. Is it weird to only sell chicken tenders? This recipe is a similar chicken tender recipe, but the real treat here is in their secret Canes Sauce. Our concoction is spot on and you must try it. Don't believe us? Mix the shit we wrote below in a bowl and try it for yourself.

Raising Canes Chicken
450 Calories per 3 Strips

Raising Canes Sauce
50 Calories per Tbsp

Prep: 10 minutes
Refrigerate: 2-4 hours
Deep Fry @ 350°F: 3-4 minutes

Equipment:

Ingredients:
• Chicken Breast
• 2 Cups Flour
• 1 Cup Seasoned Bread Crumbs
• 2 tsp Salt
• 2 tsp Baking Powder
• 2 Egg
• 2 Cups Buttermilk
• 1 Tbsp Garlic Powder

Canes Sauce:
• 1 Cup Mayonnaise
• 2/3 Cup Ketchup
• 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
• 1 tsp Garlic Powder
• 2 tsp Freshly Ground Black Pepper
• 1 tsp Fresh Lemon Juice​

Directions:

1.) Cut your thick juicy chicken breasts into strips (3 per breast plus the tenderloin)

2.) Whisk together 2 Eggs, 2 Cups Buttermilk & 1 Tbsp Garlic Powder and pour mixture along with chicken into a sealable container

3.) Refrigerate for 2-4 hours

4.) In a paper bag or the Batter Pro, combine 2 Cups Flour, 1 Cup

5.) Seasoned Bread Crumbs, 2 tsp Salt and 2 tsp Baking Powder

6.) Toss chicken into this mixture and shake

7.) Toss chicken back into the wet mixture it was marinading in

8.) Toss chicken back into the dry mixture and shake one last time, they should have a beautiful double coat

9.) Deep fry for 3-4 minutes at 350°F or until fully cooked on the inside

Canes Sauce:
When created the canes sauce base of Mayo & Ketchup, we had the exact same sauce by our side to compare as we added our ingredients a little bit at a time. Finally concluding the secret ingredient was tart combing fresh squeezed lemon juice as a final touch. Feel free to experiment with the amount of black pepper, but make sure its fresh cracked black pepper for that punch you get from Canes.

I work at Cane's. There's Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, ketchup and mayo. That's what makes up the sauce

When I first came to the USA, my story, physical disabilities, and of course grades got me into BU for free if I worked hard on my work, and even harder as a tutor and campus deli worker haha.

I used to live behind this Raising Cane's for 6 semesters, it was the cheapest housing on campus. The reason I am even looking for this video is because of the Cane's that you went to.

Thank you for posting this. You've made a grown man missing his first loving home a bit teary watching the beginning shots. If you looked up to the building right behind it, I was the single on the side, 11 stories up and middle right window. The United States was still a glimmer of a dream, even when I first came here. Now that I have been working as an emergency room RN for 12 years, I am fully immersed in it.

PS: I worked at the very first raising canes here in Baton Rouge (my home) they use lemon pepper, not normal pepper. Also, the brand of mayo and ketchup is important because of vinegar and sugar %. They use Heinz ketchup and Dukes Mayonnaise. There also is a small % of slap ya mamma Cajun seasoning in the seasoning mix they send to the chain restaurants. Also, it’s not garlic powder, it’s Landry’s Garlic Salt. Hope this helps whoever sees it.

I used to work at canes for more than a year so I’ll say:

Sauce: extra heavy mayo, ketchup, pepper, worschteshire

Toast: Texas toast in loafs, spread with garlic butter on one side only unless you want both

Chicken: marinated for 24 hours in water salt and msg... when battering you put chicken straight into batter that has 12 eggs and 1 gallon of milk, then drain milk from bin, flour chicken and fry for 4 minutes 30 seconds in canola oil at 350 degrees

Everything else is self explanatory

Tried this recipe and it was so freaking good! I wasn't too crazy about the sauce until I tasted it with the fingers. It tasted to freaking good 😃. I added a good bit of pepper to it. No joke though, these tenders are fire. I also just used chicken tenderloins.

As someone from Louisiana that has recently moved to a cold part of the United States where mostly people have never heard of canes, this will definitely come in handy, Honestly just found this channel and binged watched so many videos.... speaking of addictions I have recently become addicted to KitKat bars and would love to see a GIANT KITKAT BAR. love what yall do keep up the great work!
