Awesome video, I am a senior and still can't seem to find and catch keeper size perch, please I need help finding them! Are they usually deep, where should I look to find them, a big lake and rarely find anything to keep?

What size hook do you generally use for perch? Size 6?

In northeastern Washington state, we used the peach meat and maggots. Ice fishing a guy showed me to take the maggots out of the container and tucked them in his lower lip like a chew of Copenhagen... it really helped get em lovely before using them but I felt like I was on the fear factor

I tried something new yesterday and I used small crank baits, it worked really well. Also caught a bunch of big bluegills and sunfish on same bait.

Great tips . In Australia we fish for English perch or what us Aussies call reddies 🤣😂 I use yabbies or what you call crawfish you should try them I get big ones on them 👍

Great video. One thing I use also is long shank hooks. Makes it way easier to get the perch off.

I do a double hook rig on a crawler. A tiny pc of leech enough to cover the hook eye.

Back in the 70's is Saskatchewan we used, bacon, corn, perch eyes. But back then there were more fish in the lakes

Small or popcorn shrimp. You can flavor them and dye them.

belly meat works really good especially when the bite is hot you can use fins and 1/4" wide pieces of tail...and that stuff don't come off like minnows so if it's a hot bite those options excell...gotta check dnr for legality
