I love this channel. I am 66 years old and grew up with the Beatles music and popularity. I was fortunate to be alive when all their albums and singles were first released. I am from the southeast in the USA! They made us all look forward to their next albums back then in the 1960's. Thank you!

I don't mind warps, as long as it doesn't affect the sound! I'm getting more and more into the Beatles since 2013! Even more now that I have a rediscovered love for vinyl LPs! Your channel certainly helps!

I have the 2019 box set and some are warped, fortunately they play fine and sound fantastic.

I love this watching these! Being a collector for so many years and having to lose my collections a couple of times to “stay afloat”, I still get excited about the details. And as I restore old recordings myself, I get right into what you are saying. Great job! Great fun!

Really interesting, thank you. My parents bought me the World Records set in 1979, which by then comprised of 25 singles, as they'd added the picture sleeve edition of Sgt.Pepper 7" from 1978, along with an extra insert explaining this. I loved my 'green sleeve' set and it had a lot of plays, especially in 1979/80 as I only had a few originals. I did buy a few of the 80s pic sleeve editions later on, and a few of the '20 years ago' pic discs, not really to play though. Quality issues aside, I do like the look of the 2019 set, the foreign picture sleeves/labels looking really neat. I'll probably never have the cash to buy one nowadays though! I look forward to these videos, thanks again.

I especially love the longer fade out on all you need is love and a 2019 mixed in the echo effect on baby you’re a rich man and being a huge Beatles fan that I am I love everything that the Beatles did.

And I love the packaging in the 2019 box that it is great.

I glad that I bought the 2019 set last year. I had always wanted the original 22 singles. I know there were some audiofiles that were up in arms about the sound quality but others state it was more authentic to the original which is line with your comments. Another winning video. Thanks so much!

This video, like the other video you made about the 2019 singles set, made me very glad that I got it!

Thanks Andrew - another interesting video.
A small correction though. You show the 1982 sleeves for Yesterday and Back In The USSR when talking about the 1976 box, when the 1976 versions had variants of the green sleeves.

Thank you for the review! I’ve been waffling between the 82 and 2019 set. Wasn’t sure which one to spring for but I think I’m gonna grab the ‘19 collection now.

Excellent, very informative video’s as always Andrew. Just wondering if you’d noticed the biographical insert sheet that was included in the 1976 issue has George’s birth year as 1942 rather than 1943. These simple errors make me wonder how much effort was really put in to compiling these sets. I think the effort and attention to detail of the latter day issues better reflects the respect this groundbreaking band deserves.

I have the 1982 box set which I bought around 1983/84 brand new. Also bought the EP box set on the same day. I have several original 60s 7"s too. I bought the 2019 set on day of release and have to say initially wasn't overwhelmed with the artwork chosen for some of the sleeves and thought they could have used better designs from other countries. However, the sound quality on the new set is absolutely outstanding (they have clearly thought about modern record players sound-wise) and so this is the set I go to now if I fancy playing 45s. I have also got some European EPs which I think would make a great box set for the artwork of these sleeves alone 🙂. Really enjoy watching your channel and have been catching up on all the posts

Interesting video as ever - I have the 2019 box (which I do really enjoy a lot as a collection), a few of the 1976 ones in those green sleeves too. Don't think I have heard any of the 1982's though. Cheers for sharing your views.

Hey Andrew, great videos. I’m just getting back into vinyl and have spent a lot of time and money during the past few months acquiring and re-acquiring Beatles vinyl. I think I’ve watch all of your videos at least 2 or 3 times each. So glad I rediscovered this hobby, it’s been a tad expensive but so much fun. Nothing like analog records and cassettes.
If you don’t mind a question, do the original single mixes of Please Please Me/Ask Me Why exist anywhere on vinyl outside of the original UK 45 pressing? I’m not adverse to purchasing an original single but I’m trying to find clean versions of those mixes without breaking the bank. Thanks for you time and please keep giving us Beatles nuts these great videos!

Thank you so much, Andrew! I got the 2019 box set on your recommendation on the original review video. Tip for everyone: get yourself a price tracker for Amazon and be a little patient. I got my mint, sealed set for around $110 and the current historic low is $107.51. A great price for sure. You’ll be amazed at how much money price trackers can save you.

The 1982 set had nice picture sleeves, unfortunately, some of them were incorrect for the time they were supposed to represent, Yellow Submarine, Get Back, and Old Brown Shoe in particular were much latter photos than from when the singles were issued. One would have thought EMI a little more conscientious about that. Great video !

Small correction: the 1976 set uses the original "dry" mixes of Please Please Me/ Ask Me Why
