NOTE: I HAVE NOW BEEN ASSURED THAT THIS SET WAS CUT DIRECTLY FROM THE SINGLES MASTER TAPES— WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A FEW TRACKS WHERE THE TAPE HAD SERIOUSLY DEGRADED AND "REAL LOVE/FREE AS A BIRD", WHICH ONLY EXISTS AS A U-MATIC 1610 RECORDING.

This looks great! Seems you’ve had an influence on the label since your involvement with The Beatles Mono box set and I’m forever grateful! They finally understand what record collectors want. The BEST sound possible and excellent packaging. 🎸🥦🤘

I enjoyed this video way too much. I have teenage kids and we all walk around saying "Do it the right way! The German way!" because of your DVD. Love the accents. Keep it up. :)

I love this guy’s stream of consciousness, erratic approach to his videos 😂
Not to mention his bad “dad jokes” 🤣

Those singles boxes sold by World Records in the 70s are actually quite affordable. You can pick them up for around $100-$150 in nice condition. The nice thing is that some of those 70s pressings used original metal work from the 60s, so they often sound just as good as the originals. I am slightly surprised that Michael doesn't recognize the original green Parlophone sleeves for the UK singles (as seen in the booklet for the new Singles collection). He must not have collected the UK singles and only stuck to the LPs.

Hi Mike, all UK Parlophone singles, with the exception of Love Me Do, the first pressing of Please Please Me, Strawberry Fields Forver (picture sleeve) and Let It Be (picture sleeve), were issued in generic, green paper sleeves. That's why when they were re-issued in the late 1970s the came with generic green card sleeves. For anyone interested, Bruce Spizer has published an excellent reference book on The Beatles Parlophone releases.

Michael - no joke, you are one of my heroes and one of my goals is to meet you one day to express how much I appreciate your contributions to the collecting community. Thanks for keeping things light too -- appreciate you, brother!

Great channel! just subscribed as a fellow Brit find you’re humor hilariously amusing indeed we live in a sensitive culture (eh who cares!) it’s good to have a laugh nothing wrong with person expressing themselves in a artistic way. I love The Beatles specially they’re later material (1965-1970) Revolver, The White Album, Abbey Road.

Keep up the great stuff man!

Have a wonderful day

Charlie 😊

Great stuff. I love all the details and stories and most of all I love your humor, and your enthusiasm and excitement about the Beatles. I think you should do a video entirely in the Geezer persona. Loved it. 👍

Unfortunately I am not old enough to have had heard the Beatles songs when they were first released, they broke up in 1970 and I was born in 1972—I am already 47 yo and I am not "old enough", sigh—Yet my passion for them developed when listening to the vinyl albums, however I don't have that attachment to vinyl, but seeing your collection I do feel the nostalgia of putting the turntable's arm at the beginning of a record and, after that characteristic "scratch" sound that lasted a few seconds, listening to the wonderful songs coming out off the speakers. Magnificent collection you have there, cheers!
