I like the 8th gen 2018-2024 exterior body style better, but the interior on that 9th gen 2025 is absolutely superior. My biggest gripe with the 2025 is definitely the fact that they only come in hybrid, which means a higher starting price, and those batteries are definitely not cheap when they eventually go out…. at around 250k-300k miles lol. With the 8th gen’s facelift in 2021, I couldn’t stand how Toyota just tried turning that infotainment system into that tablet-style look. 2018-2020 looked better with the screen integrated into the stereo with the AC vents above the screen, instead of that half-assed switcharoo to a tablet screen with vents below that they did for 2021 and up. I have a 2019 with 140k miles going strong.
