I have left todoist and come back to it a couple of times. It is simple and does exactly what it needs to do. I wont be going away from it again

No surprise about your #1. 😂

Todoist is my main one too. I also use Reminders for my routines and Microsoft To Do (on my Android device) for my shopping list.

Good choices Carl. I'm just a little curious why you never talked about Things 3, which is very simples and minimalist.
I really like Todoist and the company behind Todoist (Doist) but after trying Things 3 my todo list became simpler to manage.

Love your videos. My challenge is that work use office 365 but I am an apple fan and use an iPhone and iPad too.
What’s a good task manager across both. I use apple reminders because I use Siri allot so need something with Siri Shortcuts.
Any suggestions?

Great video as usual. I like Apple reminders but recently switched to Todoist for a couple of reasons. The ability to set a due date for a recurring reminder based on completion not just weekly on a certain day. I can also set a due date that is separate from reminder dates. In Apple reminders you get as the name implies reminders but not a separate due date. For example a bill is due on the 31st but I want to be reminded to pay it on the 25th. Lastly because I can use it as a low level habit tracker using the activity log by project. I use this in a project I set up to track my workouts. We too use Reminders for our shopping list.

I’m always torn between reminders and Todoist. I used to use both and now merged into Todoist. I like the easy capturing and calendar integration but I hate the UI which make me wanna move to reminders. I did use labels and projects and priorities but honestly nothing helped. What’s your thoughts on this?

What about tracking high level goals for the year, I think you may have made a beginning of the year planning video Using Todoist but can’t find it. Things like: the various domains we all operate in : physical health, relationships, etc and then tracking underneath them what we will do about them each year

Like someone else commented, I am somewhat surprised that you never brought up Things 3. Things is probably one of the most simple yet powerful task managers out there.

Well, correct me if I'm wrong, but the workflow you showed in Asana is almost identical to the workflow you use between Todoist and Evernote for project management. At least to me, it's almost identical, each blog post or Youtube video would be a project inside Evernote containing tasks like "Finish the search on topic X" or "Review text from part z". Then inside Todoist you would have "continue working on blog post Y" with a link to your project's note. Am I right?

Simple:

Things3 and Craft.
These two are enough for all jobs. 🙂

How does the board view in Todoist differ from your Asana setup? Could you duplicate what you do in Asana in Todoist? Also, why Asana over Trello?

Carl, do you always use the browser app or (if available) a standalone app?

I am sorry Carl…but Asana is a little baby in comparison with ClickUp.

Thank you so much for your time and advice! I think I'll give TeuxDeux a try. It looks simplified, and may help me see the big picture (it's so easy to get lost in the details)
