I love how whimsically maniacal the dinner scene is, really feels like an actual Nightmare. I think out of all the Nightmare films, 5 captured the nightmare vibe the best. This is truly as ‘nightmare’ as you can get. What an underrated film!

This is the only scene in any of the nightmare movies that genuinely grosses me out.

Let's be real, this scene was topical, just around the time that Anorexia and eating disorders were the subject on media and TV and when actresses and models were expected to resort to Bulemia and Anorexia to stay thin. The Mom is at fault for how she treats her daughter, which makes the scene all the more tragic and hard to watch. This is one of my favorite Nightmare on Elm Street films in the fact that it becomes a live action Cartoon and the back story on Freddy's Mom being a Nun and the lead character's unborn baby being haunted by Freddy through her dreams, made it all the more absurd of a Surrealist Nightmare.

"Bon Appétit B!tch." Freddy's got a way with the ladies.

So the MPAA made them cut a lot of the more gruesome shots from all 3 kills, but an official release with all the uncensored kills was released in the 80s. This scene had Freddy push the baby doll out of the way to reveal that he was actually feeding her organs to her, genuinely gnarly stuff

0:16 Greta's mom acts like a Disney villain 😂

One of the best and scariest scenes of the film. Great metaphor for eating disorder.

I love the click sound Freddy’s glove makes in this film 0:04, it’s really crisp and sharp with a truly nightmarish quality. The glove also has a gradually fading red colouring starting from the tips, with more refined silver patterns. Probably the best Freddy’s glove has ever sounded and looked in the series, they really nailed the sound design. This movie is art.

Freddy is basically force feeding her own insides (shown more in the uncut version), that is f--ked up.

Her death looks the most painful since the actress slams with her face into a glass plate 😂

The full cheeks and stuff…always stuck with me. I was about 6 or 7 when I first saw it. I played it off like it didn’t scare me be I didn’t sleep well for awhile!

Been trying to do a reaction to the series but heading a dead stop on streaming. I can only find it on youtube 😫😫😫 in small sections.

I think the whimsical nature of this movie was the most terrifying thing about it
