Back when I was 6-7 I used to love this scene so much. I never knew why until I watched it just now, 15 years later. It's the shapes - those shapes on Casey Jr. were so captivating when they moved. Disney somehow made them look both strong and sturdy yet fluid and organic.

I loved that train when I was a kid. Since then I was always drawing trains and interested by them.  Now i'm becoming an mechanical engineer.

Sometimes you just gotta take a break from modern films to really appreciate classics like this. If this hadn't come along, chances are "Tangled" would never come into being.

Casey Jr. is the cutest train. I've never been a train person or a big fan of Dumbo, but this little train has a fun theme song and says "woo-hoo!" every time it manages to accomplish something, haha

There's an in-joke at 1:37. The sign in the distance reads "WDP Circus". The initials stand for "Walt Disney Productions."

I noticed that the train changes after a few scenes: at 1:40 there’s a flat car between the green car and the caboose, which disappears before the train enters the cave, the blue car that’s behind the elephant car is gone and the pink car that comes before the green car and the caboose is replaced with a yellow and orange car; after the train goes through the cave, the blue car comes back
