Do Spirits Attend Their Own Funerals?

I saw my friends husbands spirit at his funeral he watched over the whole sevice and then he hugged his wife from behind her until the service finished it was amazing I was so shocked and pleased I had the privilege to see the last part of his journey

I was at a young man's funeral who had died in a motorcycle accident. His spirit rose ovef the casket, standing straight up, smiling with his arms raised in a "ta-da" gesture. He was so disappointed that only a few of us could see him. He wanted everyone to know he was fine.

At my Dad's graveside service, casket was being lowered into grave. A beautiful butterfly flew out of grave, flew in a circle around my Siblings and I, then flew to tree branch by us.

My husband will be gone 47 years tomorrow. I can still see everypart of his body, the way he smelled, and his laugh. Our daughter looks so much like him. I pray he knows we have never forgot him and we still love him, and miss him.

My Mom came to our home and woke both my husband and I at exactly the same time. We sat up looking at each other like what the heck!? Instantly I knew to call the hospital and check on Mom. I was told they just checked and talked to her. I still didn’t feel right. When we were woken up it was 3 am. At 5 am the call came from the hospital. I knew she was gone. I believe her spirit came to say goodbye at 3 am. It was the first night after 62 days I’d gone home to sleep because she was stable. I believe she waited for me to leave so I didn’t see it.

On the day of my husband’s funeral I could hear my husband in my right ear! He kept telling me I’d be fine, I am usually the one who cry’s all the time! But he said I’ll be with you you will be fine. I rang my daughter who actually is a psychic medium and I told her that her dad told me he was coming to the funeral with me, I felt he was in my ear talking to me. I couldn’t believe how calm I was, I knew everyone was looking at me waiting for me to break but I didn’t. He gave me a gift to be able to cope. By the time we left and went to the wake he’d left. He is often still around me and I feel so lucky he gave me strength to cope .

Matt, I want to tell you this. After William passed away, I was at work. I had a thought in my mind. I said God if William is really alright and if you really exist, send me a rainbow 🌈. The sky was blue, no clouds. I sighed and turned around. Looked back outside, and there was a double rainbow in the sky. A miracle!!

Wow, i thought so. I worked in the funeral industry, and spent a lot of time with people that had passed. I loved my job, and felt that it was such an honour to help people in this way. During that time i did have experiences, sounds, sniffs, sighs, telephone ringing, and nobody there? I love this, i hope that they were ok with me assisting? Best wishes Matt

I’ve heard of people seeing their decease loved ones at their funerals. I lost my mom in January 2023 and I’m devastated she has not visited me yet. I know she would approved of her funeral because I sent her out in grand style. I miss her SO much 💔💔💔

My daddy was at the funeral home when I sat in the room to finalize everything, pick out his casket and dropped off his pictures and clothes. He stood in the corner of the room and then sat across from me. ❤ He was healed and looked absolutely handsome as ever! My dad always joked to pour a bottle of Pabst Blue Ribbon on him to see if he’d sit up lol. I didn’t do that of course.

Almost every Monday after my dad passed he’d come sit on the side of my bed with me (use to be his bed) and calm my poor broken heart 💔 He passed Monday July 25, 2022 at 10:23pm. He knew he passed on a Monday. When he would come he would bring my step mom with him. ❤ She passed December 28, 2015 (my daddy’s 58th birthday)

the day before my father died. my brother John and I went to visit father in the nursing school. i could feel peace in the bedroom. i could feel my dead mother standing be side me. it was a great feeling. it was painful to watch my father suffering for months. now he is at peace with mother

I attended my mother's funeral when I was 6 yrs. I remember looking into the casket at my mother's body. I laid my little pearl necklace on the pillow. I heard her sigh while i was looking at her. I freaked out and ran to my dad saying she made a sound! People heard me. But I was told "no she is in Heaven".

I attended a funeral of someone i knew at Mornington here in Tasmania, his name was Bruce Godfrey.
The service was packed and i was sitting at the back when i saw an orb in close proximity, i slowed my breathing and relaxed my vision and all of a sudden it changed to the full appearance of Bruce in his full attire. I turned away to tell my friend and when i looked back he was gone. Approx. 10 minutes later the orb again appeared, and the same solid spiritual appearance happened but this time he moved to the front seating where his wife sat and bent down on one knee beside her in a comforting position.
This being another experience given to me by spirit on love and survival,

I heard my husband b4 his. He said we were gonna put the FUN back in funeral.😂 Quite a few people heard him. His light is SO bright. ❤ Truly KNOWING life is eternal now is what's getting me thru losing him. My Everything, my soul mate IS still w me, but in a different way. ❤😇🙏

I have lost my mom Jan, 3 2024, I have asked and prayed to God for my mom to send a sign still hasn't, but I hoping g one day she will, she my best friend and I miss her so much ❤ its so wonderful to know our loved ones are always with us, even thow we cant see them,

My mom always wanted to be the center of attention. Lol. As a business owner in a small town, we had to have had at least 250 people show up. A friend who is big into the medium realm told me afterwards that my mom went to each family member and close friends and touched each of us on the shoulder and stayed till the end and then blew a kisses to everyone. A year later: my partner passed, i asked him for strength to get thru his eulogy. Afterwards the same lady asked me if I felt him standing next to me with his arm around my waist like he was holding me up. Yes! I believe!

I was told a few years back, that the person who departed always stands at the foot of the coffin. So when I go to a funeral now, I look at the foot of the coffin and wink.

It's so true, Matt, that your loved one who passed on can visit you when they think of you. This is such a special memory for me. My mother did about 2 1/2 weeks before my 23rd birthday. I grew up and live in NYC. On my 25th birthday, I was living abroad in military service. On my birthday, I was heading back to base in Okinawa, Japan. I was sitting alone in the passenger section of the bus and, all of a sudden, I "felt" that someone was sitting next to me and I realized my mother was "visiting" me for my birthday! It was such a wonderful thing! I shifted and turned towards her and mentally spoke to her. I thanked her for visiting, told her that I loved and missed her. A warm feeling enveloped me and it was so special. She spent about close to 3 minutes with me. I was amazed that she came to be with me in Japan. I guess it's like Matt said, she thought of me and immediately came to where I was!

My brother passed away last October..I have photos in my phone with what I believe to be him…he appeared as bright white streaks of light 😊

At my Mama's service towards the end the song "Over the Rainbow" played and I had this feeling like something in the room lifted up. It's hard to describe but I had the feeling my mama was rising to heaven.
