YES! This is how you make a Doctor Who trailer, so much more gripping and exciting than last year's trailer! And as for the content the show has never looked this beautiful, sublime cinematography! The CG looks so much more robust and real, you couldn't shoot those establishing shots in a Cardiff quarry! Great looking new monsters, a return of some old favourites and a tantalising tease at the end. Is it Susan? Is it Jenny? Is it Arya Stark?? It's probably none of the above!! But who cares because it's at the end of a trailer which was frankly excellent! I haven't been this excited for a series of Doctor Who since series 4! Bring it on!!

This trailer was pure hype, and series 9 lived up to it.

The footage shown here actually looks better than the actual finished episodes. The contrast has been increased, making the colours more vibrant and the darkness has been increased in the clips (just look at how dark the Tardis is here, it's incredibly striking) . The shots of the hand mines and the ghosts in the dark sea base are quite haunting.
Pair the visuals with the stellar music and Capaldi's ominous narration and this trailer is the best in the entire series, in my opinion.
