Pixel A series are so weird, it's basically a slightly water down version of the pixel line. But, it's pointless because it is released when pixels are already discounted.

7a is a great deal with free case and earbuds included. Every phone these days is advanced enough to get the job done so any complaints I can think of are nitpicks…eagerly awaiting my 7a to come in the mail :)

In Europe unfortunately there were no such crazy discounts as in the US, so Pixel 7a here indeed is a nice discount (especially now when bundled with Buds A). I will definitely go for Pixel 7a and I'm glad I waited patiently for its release.

In a long time I enjoy using my pixel 7. Since the iPhone 3 I stuck with it until the 12th. I have always kept an 👀 open towards the vanilla android, Pixel phones. When the 6 came out I switched and until now I haven't regret it.

With Regular PIXEL 7 going on sales regularly for 450-500$, it makes no sense to buy 7a . But when the 7a price drops it would be an excellent deal for like 350-400$.

Lack of 256GB options on both the 6A and 7A is a dealbreaker for me personally, but this is likely intentional by Google to get you to spend more on the Pixel 7/7 Pro

Bought my Pixel 7 last October and am very happy with it. Had I had the patience to wait I no doubt would have gone for the 7A but only to save cash as the spec seems a very good buy not far from the 7 I have now. Love these Pixel phones, had one since the 3A came out and would never go back to any other. Thanks for this in depth review, no regrets with my purchase.

Plastic and metal over glass and metal, but the 7's GN1 (with the soft sensor crop) over the 7a's Sony IMX787. These are the only differences that matter to me. Because the camera is the focus, the $100 difference may not be enough.

I think now that the bugs have been worked out the 6a is the better deal. 349.00 new from google is fantastic for that phone. I have the 7.

I think the 7a is worth it if your Cell Phone carrier has some sort of deal on upgrading to it. The regular 7 seems to have better discounts on it buying it Unlocked like how it was $499 for a while before the 7a launched.

I'd probably go for the 7a, as I prefer well built plastic back phones . The other differences seem relatively minor . They just need to get the price right now to justify these differences

I think Android authority's 7 vs 7a camera comparison should decide which one is the better phone for photography. In some instances 7a lead, in others the 7. Apart from the camera though, the standard 7 is the clear winner.

I have a Pixel 3a at the moment so will go for the Pixel 7a as I just want a standard phone, I don't do gaming!or anything heavy

This was a mistake by Google in my opinion. Why include wireless charging if it is capped to 7.5W? That's almost nothing. And if the difference is only £50 or so, it's obvious that Pixel 7 is the better option. On a deal, Pixel 7 wins out even more handily. Should've kept the price closer to 400. 90Hz is the only thing I can get behind from what I can see.

The pricing of the Pixel 7a indicates the Pixel 8 is going to increase $50 as well, priced at $649.

Just got the 7a and the wife has the 7, the differences are slight, the quality of the 7 really stands out and the camera laser focus on the 7 is better than the 7a, with the said, if you get the launch deal of free earbuds the 7a becomes a real steal both amazing phones

In Austria there is no point of buying the Pixel 7a because the Pixel 7 has better specs and only costs 50-60€ more. No idea what Google was thinking there.

I got my New Pixel 7 about 2 weeks ago and paid total of like 450 from Google but with the pixel buds you get now with the 7a it's a better buy until that goes away

Currently in Germany, you can get a new Pixel 7 for 50€ more, or a refurbished one for almost 50€ less than the 7a. I'd go for a refurbished Pixel 7 if my Pixel 6 Pro broke today. So I think for the 7a it's best to wait until it's discounted and/or available refurbished. For under 400 it'll be a no-brainer!
