Plastic back is actually better against bumps and drops. It's less scratch resistant, but a uniformly worn in/scratched phone looks better than a drunk white girl shattered phone

Do yourself a favor and get a OnePlus 11 like I did. Found it on sale for $599 for the 16GBram/256 storage top model at Best buy. Absolutely amazing QHD+ LTP0 3.0 Amoled display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 monster processor, insane charging speeds, fantastic camera. Absolutely a flagship level phone at a midrange price. I had the OnePlus 7T pro McLaren edition beforehand and kept it for almost 4 years cuz that's how good it was. And finally oneplus came out with a worthy successor.
The model I got usually goes for $799 and is totally worth it... But if you can find it for $599 like I did then grab it immediately.
