One of the very tragic things about this video is how genuinely scared this cop is that he may not find that weapon. He immediately disregards everything — public and personal safety, medical concerns, his own heroism and undoubtedly overwhelmed mental state— all secondary to “will I be able to survive this incident now that it’s over and I’m still alive.”

I honestly don’t know why any of them still go to work everyday.
