Also a few men on board who were considered Morgan's competition in the banking world, died as a result of the sinking. Have done quite a bit of research into this and believe beyond a doubt Morgan had it sunk to kill off his competition and for the reasons you mentioned in the video about insurance claims. From everything I've read about J.P. Morgan, the guy was a ruthless and heartless business man that only cared about his bottom line and profit...by any means necessary. Cool video man

It's a rabbit-hole that the novel 'The Sinking of the Titan' laid out some eerie/uncanny coincidences, but if you think about it from their time perspective with limited information, a ship hitting an iceberg would be an easy story to sell to the public

I know the video is already at 13 minutes but we should've heard about the prominent men that opposed the creation of the Federal Reserve that died on the alleged Titanic. John Jacob Astor, Benjamin Guggenheim and Isa Strauss. Also, I didn't hear any mention of the book about the unsinkable ship, The Titan, that was published years before this event. Would've been an interesting factoid.

It took a week for the Olympic to be renamed Titanic and this was evident from the forecastle area where the navy ship collided with it. Even repaired one could see the repair clearly. Some also say that it was a Russian icebreaker that collided with the Olympic as ordered by Morgan and his cohorts in order to get rid of the financial competition as it wasn't long after that the FED was brought to life as Morgan wanted to ditch the Gold standard. There are too many things that simply do not add up with the Titanic story.

I can't see a J.P. Morgan going on board & personally dismantling heavy bronze statues. Nor can I see him having them removed while the ship was being set to sail. I bet he did have them removed though. Maybe when nobody could've been a witness?

Well what happened is JP Morgan a few other of his cronies wanted to get the insurance money from the other boat and at the same time they wanted to take out three gentlemen who were on the titanic Killing two birds with one stone. John Jacob Astor, Benjamin Guggenheim, Leonor Strauss were those three gentleman who were against the forming of the federal reserve and JP Morgan knew this very well, anyway, a year later in 1913 the federal reserve was established.

ok, so my 5th great grandmother was 13 or 14 when this happend, she was born 1899 passed away 1998. i enjoy learning history events she might have remembered i was 3.5 when she passed and i really want to learn more about her.

i know the family history, but now im learning historical events, and in turn trying to leave behind a journal of historical events for my neice.
