Hebrews 13:5 Don't love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, "I will never fail you. I will never abandon you."
What matters the most in life in my opinion is what we do with John 3:16 and our personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
John 3:16 For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

this should have been a full length feature movie. this is so good. sadly, Sam Kinison is mostly forgotten now. no one under 45 would have any idea who he was. I was 17 when he died. I heard he was getting cleaned up, off drugs and getting his life back on track. wouldn't it have been interesting if he had decided to leave show business and go back into the ministry?

I'm 72 years old and my early days also grew up in the Pentecostal church. I too saw things happen that can only be explained as an act of God. I mean big things people won't believe if I told them. Sad, the church of today has sold out to try to be excepted by main stream society. The great acts of God have faded do to our lack of faith, and the search to be accepted has still been lost.

Lord Jesus, this is our human dilemma, it is about loss. Loss makes His sheep realize there is a shoulder, ankles to hug. He seen misery, gifts, hardship and excessive mammon. All was a learned gift from his family. We are a product of our family, surroundings and the cellular memory installed. We win, then we lose all as we walk out of our life. All that stands after that is what we did in Jesus. In the narrow way as we are directed. There is a way in man that thinks Proverbs 21:1/3 > The king’s heart is a waterway in the hand of the LORD; He directs it where He pleases. All a man’s ways seem right to him, but the LORD weighs the heart. To do righteousness and justice is more desirable to the LORD than sacrifice

Incredible story telling man! Wow. I will say tho It was in violation of Christian theology and practice that those people sinned against your dad. Same way religious people who didn't care what the Bible said killed Jesus, the prophets before him and the apostles. Persecution is what Jesus said WOULD happen if you walk with God. Blaming all religious people or God is the wrong way round. I hope you haven't lost faith because of that. Again thanks for sharing your story.
