Underground tunnel discovered at 27th and Cleveland

When crews went to dig up a water main break a few weeks ago, they re-discovered a tunnel that had been closed since the 1980s.

The NEWS report said that the tunnel was originally made to get to school safely. When the school closed the tunnel became obsolete. Nothing sinister, it just became part of city history. Suggestion...clean it up, put in lighting, cameras, and add it to the walking history tour.
