HTC needs something big to make a comeback in the smartphone game, but it's off to a really bad start in 2017 with the U Ultra. Hopefully the HTC 11 will be MUCH better.

My last HTC phone was the M8. HTC just hasn't released anything since then that catches my attention. Hopefully the next phone they release has dual front facing speakers.

As a HTC customer I personally don't want to use another Android device. My daily smartphone is the HTC 10 and I'm completely satisfied with my HTC 10. My previous models were the M8, and M7. Zero complaints there as well.

The future for HTC for smartphones looks bleak for now. I do have a concern I may have to choose a new manufacturer when I have to purchase a new smartphone.

I would like HTC to continue their efforts with glass body smartphones and aluminum. The HPJ is no issues for me but I want it included for the individuals who still use it. USB-C headphones are completely amazing to use so I hope soon the market expands in that area of tech.

I would like to see HTC increase internal storage to 64 GB as a new standard with expandable memory. I feel that would catch attention with consumers if that was a standard. Keep Boom Sound please for internal use because it's such an amazing headphone experience. Don't ever change that please HTC.

I feel if HTC designs one smartphone with two variants of specs they can satisfy a larger number of consumers. Here's a quick example specs.

4GB of Ram, not IP certified, no UH-OH protection, included headphones, a slower processor compared to the most current available, and 3.5 MM HPJ as a base model.

8GB of Ram, IP certified, UH-OH protection included, USB-C headphones included with clear phone case, fastest processor available, 3.5 MM HPJ with DAC, and wireless charging available for a premium model.

That's all I have for now for suggestions. Still using HTC til I have no choice but to change.

Yes, stop mimicking Samsung and Apple, and even LG just to compete. We don't need another clone in a world full of clones. Your best bet is to return the HTC One M series, release 3 proper flagships (phablet, standard flagship, compact flagship) with these:
HTC One M11+: 5.7 - 6.0" screen and proper flagship SoC SD835. Keep the HTC 10's internal DAC, improve the camera more, use 4K OLED if possible, and have the HTC One M8's speaker with the addition of IP rating. Battery must be 3, 500mAh and above, and we don't care if it makes the phone 9mm thick, as long as the quality of a high end phone is there. Also keep about 75% STB ratio (we don't need insanely small, we just need a decently large bezel)

HTC One M11: 5.0 - 5.3" screen, then the same as the One M11+ but only with 2K OLED display. Battery must be 3, 000mAh, or better with 3, 200mAh, with the same 75% STB ratio, or if cannot. 70% will do.

HTC One M11 Mini: 4.5 - 4.7" screen, then the same again as the other two, but with 1080p OLED display. 2, 800mAh is the perfect size of battery capacity, but 2, 500mAh wouldn't be bad either. 70% STB ratio wouldn't be a hard task to do so.

Hopefully these huge changes will bring them back to the main game, at least not gain back their market share from Samsung and Apple yet. Oh well, this is just an easy comeback for them really.

P.S. As a hardcore Sony fan, I'm so happy that Sony gets mentioned. I thought you never know about them really. If possible, can you please do some tests with the XZ Premium and XZs? It's highly appreciated if you can, but it's still okay if not. Thanks a lot and more power to your channel! :D

I've bought all HTC flagships from the M7 to the 10. The 10 is the last HTC phone that I will buy.

I agree with you HTC is a great company but in the last few years I think HTC Lost their identity because it's HTC is known for their invention in the mobile Industry.

I'm glad I got the chance to own the glamour red colored HTC M8. Sadly, I never got my hands on an HTC 10. Those were a couple of damn good phones. I wonder if the switch to glass on the U -Ultra is due to these rapid sales drops. After all, it is more cost effective. I hate to see a company like HTC have to absorb losses like this because they are capable of such better work. I can't speak on customer service because I never had to use it while owning the M8.

HTC One M7 had the best music player, nothing has come close to it ...but they got rid of it!!
Blinkfeed was a great addition, with news/social media updates, but now it is just bloated News Republic app.
Bring back these features, an M7 for 2017.
