How unexpectedly sweet. Rather than persecute Tav for your thievery, Lump instead invites you to partake of he and his brethren's supper. Intelligent, _and_ merciful.

The fact this game has so many dubbed lines of dialogue for interactions that at least 60% of the players will never see is still insane. Damn, we’re not gonna see something like Baldur’s Gate 3 for sooo long.

Bg3 character "sneakily" casting the invisibility spell by shouting is never not funny.

There's a similarly cool moment with the gnome that has the Runepowder Barrel in the Grymforge. You can steal it with one character while she's chatting to another - then if you follow the chat prompts that end with her trying to set it off, she tries to... only to notice that it's not there anymore. Great stuff.

Fallout 1 has a similar situation. If you go to Necropolis, rob a fridge of it's goods, and then go do a quest for the ghouls, one ghouls will go to the fridge to go get the contents for you as a reward and upon seeing you already stole it, they'll all turn hostile and attack you.

That 'Just a moment' is too good. Imagine a thematic monologue and suddenly, 'Wait. Give me a second.'

Things like this are why Baldur's Gate 3 is such a brilliant masterpiece. It is nearly TRULY endless in the varying ways the story can play out. It's wild.

You can just see the GOTY in this. Game of the decade, in fact.
What I love about the fact this game really thought of everything is that it's sort of like DMing for an actual DnD campaign. As a DM, you have to adapt to whatever shit your players decide to do.
