Xi Jinping's Military Reshuffle: Defence Minister Under Investigation

China’s Defence Minister Dong Jun is reportedly under investigation for corruption, marking him as the third consecutive defence chief to face graft allegations. Dong, a former navy commander, took office in December after his predecessor, Li Shangfu, was abruptly removed just seven months into the role. Li was later expelled from the Communist Party for alleged bribery and has not been seen publicly. Before Li, former defence minister Wei Fenghe was also ousted from the party and handed over to prosecutors for corruption charges. This investigation is part of an intensified anti-corruption drive within the Chinese military, with President Xi Jinping recently urging the armed forces to eradicate corruption and bolster their "war-preparedness.”

Why are there no ministers under investigation in India? Is it because India is a country of honest officials?

lndia must always remember that the gap in wealth, economic power, advanced technology and military strength between China and India is even greater than the gap in Olympic gold medals.
China: Gold: 40, Silver: 24, Bronze: 29
Hong Kong, China: Gold: 2, Silver: 0, Bronze: 2
India: Gold: 0, Silver: 0, Bronze: 5

FIRSTPOST: PLEASE RECTIFY THE FOOTAGE USED IMMEDIATELY. THE FIRST FEW SECONDS OF THE VIDEO SHOWS THE SINGAPORE ARMY NOT CHINA'S ARMY.

It's true one of the men shown is China's Minister of Defence (while on a visit). But the other man shown is Ng Eng Hen, Singapore's Minister of Defence and the whole Guard of Honour is Singaporean. Singapore is a close friend and ally of India, allowing Indian warships to dock at its Changi Naval Base. Why are you doing such a sloppy job with editing? Now uninformed viewers in India will think Singapore is China (some already see no difference). This is very mediocre reporting by Firstpost.
