How strange. I think I would like not having an inner voice like this. It is usually self-destructive.

I have one, I just chose not to have it anymore because it was negative and made me stressed, overthink and anxious ALL the time.

Right now I feel like I have NONE since I got tired of vocalizing my thoughts. As a result, now I feel like I lack awareness of everything since I have "nothing" going on in my head.

If I'm extremely stressed about something I guess I have one. I'll repeat the same speech explaining the situation in my head over and over and I'll keep telling myself "stupid" because of a costly mistake. Otherwise, no voice at all.

I think of people without no internal monologue as people who can't whisper.

Internal monologue is like very very quite whispering. In my case, I do some very small mouth movements to fake speaking, which helps in "thinking" the right words.

I don't think it's real. I think people are just not paying attention to themselves enough. If you want to use your inner voice, just talk so silently and softly (not enough movements) that it tricks your brain into thinking you're saying words, even when you're not.

I still think that those who claim not to have inner monologues actually don't have access to them (self-awareness); similar to how of the time I don't hear my heart pumping blood, but it is doing it.
