I usually just air dry them in a tray in the sun for however long it takes to get them to that crunchy texture. I never considered using a microwave for that, I'll for sure try that next time and see the difference!!

When I grew basil when I was in high school at my parents, I used to just put them in Ice cube trays, with olive oil. Then when I would cook pasta I could put them into the pan.

WOW THANKS!! I had no idea I could dry them in the microwave. I was going to purchase a dehydrator machine.

You can also hang them. That’s what I always tried. But I will try what you did because it looked good and still had a brightness to the leaves I don’t get when I just air dry herbs.

Thanks for the tip

I usually use the oven but it’s brilliant to do it in the microwave! Why haven’t I thought of that before?!! Thank you!

Damn we’re in the business of not using microwaves 😮

... or you just use them the next day, when you cook again, since, well, everyone needs to eat every day, so everyone cooks every day, and nobody ever wants to eat a meal without herbs... right?

My 2 cents: skip the microwave as it is known to destroy vitamins and enzymes
