Circle Line being upgraded ahead of three stations opening in 2025

The Circle Line is being upgraded in preparation for the opening of Stage 6 in 2025. The Land Transport Authority and operator SMRT are working on a series of enhancements, which will allow the decade-old line to support a larger network and train fleet when the three new stations open. LTA is also buying 12 new trains to increase passenger capacity when the CCL is fully operational. The trains made by French supplier Alstom will be delivered from 2024.
