I shot at nice 8 point Saturday off my water hole on my property in northern Michigan. I couldn’t believe it was 73 out, but the deer were really moving to my surprise. Just not a lot of rut activity aside from some chasing yet that I’ve seen. I couldn’t believe I was hunting in November in northern Michigan in my lightweight gear. Usually this week of November I have at least a dusting of snow. I’m not complaining though. I had great sits all weekend. The woods were beautiful, and the deer were really moving.

Hi Jeff. Just wanted to say I watched this last night. We are having a warm spell right now during the rut in, PA. Supposed to be colder in the week. I knew of a spring in the mountains where I hunt. 9:20 this morning an eight point came trotting to the spring. You could tell he had been running hard. After he got his drink I lucked out and he gave me a 15 yard broadside shot. I double lunged him. Field dressed at 135 lbs. Thanks so much for the videos.

Man I really like how you TEACH and not preach. You give great information and don't get bossy or arrogant about the subject. You keep your voice and tone at an easy to listen to level. Thank you.

Great video
You never mention Massachusetts... lol
Our rut just got underway
And I definitely agree with all of this
I see more deer between 7-11 am lately between a swamp and pines.
My buddy shot a 6 pointer around 2 pm and it was almost 70 degrees. He was chasing does through a high ridge heading down to a swamp.
I start my rutting stand today Monday the 8th where it’s in a valley with acorn ridge to my left small Brooke at bottom of acorn ridge and then I’m in the valley then to my right is a big swamp they cross going from acorns to water to the swamp can’t wait for this week in that stand I waited til this week to sit there. Been eating away at me because it produces ALOTA of deer there

This heat was killer. SAT morning. No wind, could hear 200 yards. 6 deer came right to my decoy, bedded down, 2 bucks. (Sat on water) By 7:30AM, they left never seen a deer after that the rest of the day.

Activity has been a little slower. But my 14 yr old grandson and myself both killed decent 10 pointers a few days ago, November 4, 2020 here in Shenandoah Valley, Virginia. They were both running a doe. Actually I think they were both after the same doe. Im not getting much on my cameras lately. Im not looking forward to this hot week we have coming either. Guess Ill be hunting the mornings for sure. Thanks for the video Jeff. EE

I had one push a doe back in the dark running her just before day break. All other encounters where just bucks nose down on the move.Heck of a week even in the warm. A lot of hours but mornings where my only action.

This man knows his stuff. I listened to the info in several of his videos (especially this one) and today I harvested a nice 9 pointer. Thanks for the good info.

One thing I wish, is that the HuntWise app subscription was a little bit cheaper. I used it last year and I could see the weather predictions for the whole week for free
