I've been deer hunting in eastern Kentucky for over 30 years and I can tell you that the best time to hunt deer here is from about 10 p.m. to 2 a.m..

Great video I hunt Georgia and have always enjoyed mornings best, but I will sit all day often. I've only been doing it for 45 years so I'm still learning.

I'm a senior and old habits are hard to beat, go in early stay late. I hunt public land in Eastern Ky so its not the best but its still hunting.

I’m definitely starting to rethink this too. 70% of the deer I’ve killed in Georgia have been in the afternoon/evening . But when I’ve killed in the mornings it’s been late season.

You’ve said it as good as I believe one can say it! My 45 yr experience bow hunting concludes very similar thoughts. It’s hard to answer 👍

I like mornings because searching for deer at night sucks. Plus, I'm tired at night.

Depending on what part if the country your in, but if it’s cold, 10 a.m. to 1. If it’s warm, last 30 minutes of daylight

3 of the 4 biggest bucks I've ever killed were at lunchtime. The biggest but I've ever seen was also around noon.

Got two minutes in and turned it off. Amazing how someone can talk for two straight minutes without saying anything at all.

Since he doesn’t really give an answer, I’ll give my two cents: IT DEPENDS ON THE TIME OF YEAR AND WHAT TYPE OF AREA YOU ARE HUNTING. During the rut, I’ve killed most of my big deer between 10am and 2pm. During pre or post rut, you can’t beat that last hour of daylight, especially if you’re hunting over a food source. Mornings are really only productive in my neck of the woods if you are hunting next to where they bed down during the day.

I hunt central and south Alabama, I’ve found I see more bucks in the mornings usually within the 1st hour or less of daylight cause they’ve been up feeding all night and I’ll catch them headed back to bed down, when the rut is on, I’ll stay from dark til dark cause it can literally happen at anytime during the day, i see bucks in the evenings but it’s more obvious in the mornings in my expierience

Great observations! Where you are hunting along with time of year and weather play a big part. Also if you are hunting one certain deer his patterns feeding, working scrapes and so on can dictate a morning or evening or sometimes all day dawn to dusk. Good luck this season. Happy Independence Day!

I live in upstate New York. I’d really like some of the pros to talk about hunting tips for this area of the country. It’s hard to find information about this area. We have good whitetail deer here too.

I tend to see more in the early evening here in Southwest Mo.

Morning only. I'm not tracking game after dark anymore and then skinning til 10 pm before even getting supper and a shower. But I'm fortunate to have a fantastic hunting lease along a river and a blind that I can get in and out of without spooking deer off of my plot. I watch deer every time I'm in the blind and often walk in on them before daylight and get my binoculars out and glass the silhouettes of deer until daylight when I can identity the ones I know from trail cam pics. I've harvested 3 wall hangers in 3 years from this setup. Now I'm going to lay off of the bucks and see just how many I can get to reach maturity.

Ive only been hunting since '06 but based on my personal experiences in multiple Midwest states ive never gotten a deer prior to 10AM. The vast majority have been between 10:30-1:30 and a big handful last hour of legal shooting light. Didn't matter weather it was early/mid/ late season
