I was missing the ls command and didn't know there were other boot options on my drive. find the correct boot and fixed my laptop. Thank you!

can someone please help me all I het for all msdos is file system unknown... when I do ls I get (hd0) (hd0, msdos2) (hd0, msdos1) and all of them say unknown file system ... I deleted my Ubuntu partition on windows why is this happening

ismod normal also showing "Unknown file system". I check the installed partion using "set" command and try ismod normal to that partion. But still showing Unknown File system.

i did everything as yu said. got to set prefix=(hd0, msdos1)/boot/grub, all is good until i type normal, i get an error unknown command 'normal'
any suggestions
