Important note in canon he practiced form 2 and also he was tattooed by Sidious, and maul developed and practiced actual martial arts and Extreme endurance due to his conditioning.

Few know, and fewer remember, that Maul had a Depth to him that was Stunted by Palpatine and Plagueis msking him a mere Sith Assassin. In Clone Wars, we get the Barest Glimpse of Maul's Immense Power, which is between Obi-Wan and Anakin (Roughly Yoda), but other than that, it is only hinted at in Lore (Legends a bit more than Canon, but Not by Much).

the reason I suggested that Anakin should be trained by maul ... is that we would have still had a Luke and leia ....and quite possibly qui gon but non the less really liked this take

Tbh I believe if Anakin was taught by Darth Sidious from the time after Naboo, he would've been much more competent in the force and having many more abilities. I believe he would've been pushed to the extremes like Sidious did with Maul in canon and would've reaped better results. He would've been taught by Sidious, due to his potential in the force, to be more cunning and reliant on the force. I personally don't think he would've lost to Maul. The argument for Vapaad is a valid one, however I would argue that Anakin's potential explored in the dark side would overcome. Great video still. Just wanted to put my 2 cents out there and and would like to say I recently stumbled upon your channel and have not been able to stop watching. Great stuff!!
