It's crazy to remember that at one time Maul was just a sith assassin with a couple speaking lines, who got killed by a Padawan in his first real duel.
Reviving Maul and making him Kenobi's nemesis was one of the best things Clone Wars did, and that's a pretty high bar to meet

I can actually imagine Maul being a much less tyrannical ruler than Sidious honestly. His brutality came out of a lust for revenge against any who he viewed had wronged him, and with both Obi Wan and especially Sidious being gone and with the Galaxy practically his I think he would’ve been able to find at least some inner peace and contentment living a life of luxury alongside his brother, that is as long as his rule was absolute.

I like how maul gets that happy ending, the galaxy is in a much better place than it originally was and even Anakin is in a “not great” but better than what he would have been as Vader position

What if Anakin joined the Separatists? I know, it sounds far-fetched, but Dooku and Anakin on the same side sounds fascinating. Padme did apparently question at some point if they were fighting on the wrong side of the war, while Anakin would have some realistic reasons to resent the Jedi Order and dislike the Republic. Perhaps she decides to jump ship in the middle of the war, for some reason, and Anakin joins her. Thus leading to a completely different timeline. He might even be able to get Ahsoka (post-exile) and some of the clones to join him as well.

Even though Maul wanted to get revenge against Sidious, I wouldn’t say he was the better option. Chances are he’d used his underworld army to start seizing power.

I think that if the story did move towards the ‘chosen one’ prophecy, and if it did end on a Maul vs Anakin duel, it would be interesting to have a:

Maul's power + Thrawns intelligence?? That's a scary combo

Fairly solid story my one gripe is that there is no way that the Republic absent Sidious would order a full scale genocide of the Jedi Order, more likely scenario is that they'd have had the Order exiled from Republic space likely to the Jedi homeworld of Tython, whole scale genocide though not something the Republic would engage in especially on such an extreme measure. Anyway glad to see the Republic die for that act. The leadership deserved it.

What if Cal Kestis and his wife Merrin trained Finn to use the force. Cal would teach him the ways of the light side and teach him Lightsaber combat and Merrin would teach him the dark side of the force and how to use Magick. Thus, teaching him balance in the force. It's a sequel theory. After ROS Finn is already searching the galaxy for more force sensitive people like him, what if he comes across an old Cal and his wife Merrin living a simple life on Bogano, and they agree to train him. Might be a cool story.

Well i like the overall story ark, but there are a few glancing errors to me. After the landing on Mandalor and not finding any resistance its unlikely the clones would just relax, especially not 501st. Theyve been through enough warfare to know that this is highly unlikely to be a welcome surprise and more likely to be a trap, so in all likelyhood they would increase patrols, maybe even with AT-RT's and Speeder-Bikes, the AT-TE's would be positioned tacticly in places with good overview and the fleet would most likely enter a blockade formation over Mandalore.
Then with the crimson dawn fleet appearing: A warship is always active on at least a third of its crew, so given what we know, they would detect the incoming ships, raise the shields (since no one else was supposed to come here especially not a large multitude of vessels) in addition to that, we know communication blocking doesnt work terribly well in Star Wars, so the republic fleet would be able to alert the groundforces of a potential incoming attack.
Next point Crismon Dawn fleet vs. the three venators. Even if they have multiple retrofitted Mon-Cal Transport-/Cruiseliners, that is still a far cry form an actual warship like the Venator. Nevermind the huge amount of fighters Venators have. So i dont deem it impossible that theyd be able to destroy them, but they would suffer severe losses in the process.
Aftermath on the ground: The crimson dawn landing force is now presumably cut down at least by half and given what we have seen previously, their transports arent exactly the hard-to-hit type. so given the Fact that neither Rex or Vaughn strike me as particualrly gullible, there would probably be AT-TE's and clones with AA-rockets stationed on and around the major landing pads. And if an AT-TE's mass-driver is strong enough to punch holes in a munificent a couple of gonzanties and smaller transports will be free targetpractise. Now of course there is the likely option that the crimson dawn would attack from both the out- and inside, evening the playing field a bit, but as we saw the fresh drafted and moderatly trained mandalorians of Maul were not really able to outmatch the clones despite having homefield advantage and i guess for the rest of crimson dawn it'd be even worse.
Maul and Savage would most likely still be a big problem... but its the 501st + Ahsoka and it would also be probaly noticed rather quickly that an entire republic strikegroup couldnt be hailed... so chances are pretty good Anakin would just, you know... be Anakin and rush to Mandalore with his entire fleet, pretty much the instant hed be unable to reach Rex, Jesse or Ahsoka.

Here’s an idea, Anakin and the 501 travel to the future during the galactic civil war, say about 5 BBY.

Of course the 501 inhibitor chips wouldn’t work and it would be interesting to see Vader and Anakin see each other
